Bobi the owner is wonderful! The whole place makes you feel like you're at home but with an added touch of somthing special. I felt like one of the family from the second I arrived. My room was huge with an ensuite and so comfortable, it was clean and cleaned regularly (if anything I had too many fresh fluffy towels). The huge windows in the room let in loads of light aswell as a fantastic view of the wonderful garden. Theres a washing machine and the kitchenette is cute and fully stocked with pretty much anything you could need. But so close to many delicious places to eat. It's about 30mins walk into Oxford town centre and the bus stops are just outside. Bobi checked if I needed or wanted anything every day and I even shared delightful home cooked dinners with him and his wonderful partner a few nights. Mitch the cat was obviously a close friend during my stay, so over all possibly the best place I've ever stayed! I would only stay there whenever I come to Oxford. …

If you are looking for a place to stay without worrying about anything, this is the place. Comfortable and cozy rooms, central location, wonderful decorated indoors. A mixture of home and family with the touch of professionalism. Many thanks to Bobi and the team for being such wonderful hosts!

Oxford is a beautiful place, with young people in everywhere. The most traditional branding in education. There’s a lot of things to do and see, in this little place. Some scenes of Harry Potter has been recorded in there.

We booked a one night stay for my elderly father and his wife, and couldn’t have asked for a kinder, more friendly and accommodating stay. He is not the easiest man to please (!) and the landlady and other staff went out of their way to help in any way they could. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the breakfast was lovely. The decor may be old fashioned, but when it is cared for, so clean and arranged the way it is.... it adds to the charm. The garden is delightful and with the free parking, a bus stop straight into town so close, a lovely pub and bakery opposite, I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

We had a wonderful time at the manor house hotel. The owner is so very kind! He showed us the map, told us which places to go; we had very nice chats. When we said that we were vegetarians he wanted to do something extra for us at breakfast (not necessary I said!) and we had blueberry's, raspberry's and strawberry's.Yummy! The bed was very good, and the is very quiet. I could sleep without my earplugs in. Also, the bus stops in gront of the hotel. In 5 minutes you are in the city.

We were not supposed to be staying at the Manor House. But we did having walked out of another hotel not far away. We had booked to stay in the Athena Guest House supposedly 3 stars at 255 Cowley Road but having walked out as it was so filthy dirty, we had to find alternative accommodation at the drop of a hat. We rung the Manor and were told they had a double on suite. After retrieving our money back from the Athena we made our way to the Manor. We were met by Mario the owner who asked us if we would like to view the room before we made our minds up......yess we would. It was lovely. We explained what had happened around the corner and he explained that he really benefits from people who walk out of that hotel. We had a chat and left to enjoy the rest of our day. Breakfast was 8.30 to 9.30am and we rolled down at 9.15am. No One was at breakfast and we sat in the window looking out at the lovely garden. Mario had asked us the previous evening what we wanted and set about cooking our full english, it was great. As he was not tending other people we engaged him in conversation over a leisurely breakfast. We were not rushed at all. It must have been way after 10 (vacation time) before we left the table. We rushed back to our room gathered our cases and wished him goodbye and thanks. We were halfway to our destination when I looked at my phone and to our horror noted that overnight the clocks had altered. We had turned up for breakfast at 10.15!! Mario did not even mention it! What a top bloke and a fabulous hotel. Thankyou Mario and so sorry. We will be back to make it up to you. Tony and Val…

I recently stayed at the Manor House Hotel with my partner. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel comfortable upon arrival. The room we stayed in was very clean and presentable and the breakfast in the morning was cooked with care. I can not fault this place.. overall very relaxing atmosphere :) would definitively recommend!

The hotel is close to the city centre in a quiet yet very well equipped area. The host was very kind and met all our requests. In the morning a very good English breakfast is served, porridge was my favorite!

First of all this hotel has been one of the worst accommodations I have ever stayed in. The bedroom is freezing and it smells! The beds are brick hard! The shower was cold & The owner is very unfriendly and rude. His English is very bad which did create a communication problem unfortunately. The hotel was empty with hardly any guests and I can understand why. I would HIGHLY Recommend NOT To stay here and it is not enjoyable in the slightest.
