Arrived and no one available had to wait for someone to show us where to go. Man arrived barely said a word, very rude. Showed us up to an apartment that was FILTHY. All beds slept in with stained sheets, both bathrooms really dirty all towels used toilets disgusting. The kitchen was full of half eaten take aways and rubbish. The noise from building site outside was dreadful. Man tried to leave but stopped him and he eventually called someone who then asked us to leave for an hour whilst they got cleaners in. Was then shown to another apartment in another block whilst this was cleaner it was much smaller and needed a lit of TLC.. there was only 1 bathroom paid for apartment with 2. No view as advertised and not enough room for 3 people to sit. Tv not working. Still waiting for phone call for at least part refund as didn’t get what paid for. This ruined sons 18th birthday.

This hotel, right near transport on Canary Wharf, is clean and spacious. Underground and DLR within minutes and buses out the front. The apartment is complete with a kitchenette if you want to prepare you own meals but Tesco, Waitrose and Marks and Spence all have supermarkets within a few minutes walk. Our apartment overlooked the water. Secure entry so you feel safe at all times. Highly recommended.

I have never in my life dealt with such terrible staff. They took a £100 security deposit from us and told us that it would be refunded within 5-7 working days. It’s been 2 weeks since they said this and each time we phone all we get is someone who says ‘I know nothing about this, phone accounts team’ they can not wait to get you off the phone! Communication was very poor and they wouldn’t allow us to check in slightly earlier to drop off suitcases (unless we paid £60) - all we wanted to do was drop off a case! Will certainly not be staying here again and will warn everyone we know not to use them! Shockingly bad!

Zen Took a long time to find Zen Apartment. Travelled to South Quay DLR station and used Google maps to find this apartment. It took me to Meridian Place, so phoned Zen office and was sent a text to the actual address. The representative from Zen was outside the building, as there is no signage. She introduced herself and then entered the building and showed me to my room on the 7th floor. She wanted to see some identification - passport or photo driving license which I was surprised as my company used Egencia to book the apartment. Didn't sleep very well, as DLR trains kept me awake as South Quay station is 2 minutes walk away. Actual address is Discovery Dock East (3 South Quay Square, E14 9RU)

I have never dealt with such an awful company. I booked months ago using booking.com and they took £200 from my card as a security deposit (with no notice I might add). I didn't hear anything else until 2 days prior to our reservation where I had an email saying it had been cancelled due to an invalid card. The card wasn't invalid - it was valid enough for them to take the £200 deposit. I was straight on the phone to the site who didn't call me back so called booking.com - apparently there were no more 2 bed apartments available (about 1-2 hours after it being cancelled) - and they would have to put us in 2 x 1 bed apartments not next to each other. They have been a nightmare to get hold of - if they made a mistake they should have called me rather than causing all that stress by cancelling the booking with 48 hours notice. Absolutely appalled.

Mixed review with all honest experience- please read! I decided to book this apartment on Booking.com for one night for 4 adults when going down to London from the midlands to see Arctic Monkeys at the O2. Let’s start from the beginning- Looked for somewhere cheap to stay that was close to the O2, which this was. £170 between 4 people in central London with a £20 taxi ride to venue in rush hour... For a tourist I didn’t think that was too extortionate! Arrived to what was essentially an apartment block and had to park on double yellows to unload. Didn’t look like anything in the photos, turns out I stayed in Phoenix Heights, not Zen Apartments) Met with Pantaj (possible manager?) and his female assistant. Very smiley but was very fast with details. Quite businessman-like, straight to the point. I got charged for the room upon arrival which I thought Booking.com had already done? After trawling through bank statements I couldn’t see the payment anywhere so I proceeded to pay the fee and £200 deposit. Turns out that there was no parking at the building I was in but Pantaj offered to show us to some underground parking at the building I saw photos of, which was a 5 min walk away. Very secure parking and he even dropped us back our building afterwards. FairPlay the room was fantastic, couldn’t fault it, not one tiny little thing to pick up on! Amazing spacious rooms, beautiful lounge/kitchen and the view from the balcony was breathtaking... Went to the Gig, stayed the night and all was sound. Checked out at 9:30am, walked to the garage, phoned the phone number and met with the female assistant who granted me access to my car. So after a great night away in a stunning apartment you’re probably wondering why only 3 stars?.... Please read on! Upon departure I was informed my deposit of £200 would be refunded in 5 days time, which I thought was a bit of a long period, but as I was in a rush to leave for the day I didn’t really question it. 7 days passed and not a refund in sight... I phoned one number I had for the company and no answer, tried the second and got through to Pantaj who said it’d be in my bank within 24 hours... again, after the said time there was still no refund? Phoned again a day later and spoke to the female assistant and she said it would definitely be in by 5pm... You guessed it- no refund.... At this point I got quite concerned that I’d just lost my deposit.... Later that evening I phoned Booking.Com and a very helpful guy phoned the number I had for Zen Apartments to prompt them for a refund. They claimed they had done it when they originally said so. I got told by Booking.com to check with my bank in the morning and get back to them if I need more assistance. Low and behold the next day I checked my bank and the deposit had been refunded. Now, this could have been a genuine cock up and there may have actually been a problem with the transaction, but to me it just felt that if I hadn’t of contacted Booking.com I wouldn’t have got my deposit back. Which is a shame as the night we spent here was fantastic! Yes it may be next to the DLR, but I didn’t hear it once throughout the night! Overall an enjoyable experience, shame there was a delay with the refund, because if there was no delay then this would have been an Excellent 5* review!

Perfect getaway location for a couple of nights, absolutely stunning views from the small balcony ( we were on the 12th floor) very clean and modern, with Sky TV, fully equipped kitchen and utensils, bathroom was large with a powerful shower and the bed was so amazingly comfortable. Parking is in a fully enclosed underground lot with security ( this is charged at £20 per stay) I would fully recommend this apartment block to anyone on business or leisure. Around 15 mins from all central London locations including tower bridge, Westminster / Big Ben, horse guards - 30 mins to South Kensington and Chelsea Boroughs.

Despite the majority of terrible reviews on here my experience was relatively pleasant. Booked through work so did not have to pay a deposit (which seems to be many people’s complaints) and had meet and greet to receive the keys. The apartment was true to pictures, some signs of wear and tear (e.g damage to blinds and bottom of doors paint wearing off etc) but it was clean and tidy and there were a good range of facilities e.g dishwasher, washing machine, sky tv, hairdryer, iron. My main issue stems from location, it is very close to the DLR and as such very noisy. I found it hard to sleep at all. Also no black out blinds or curtains so the bedroom was illuminated all night from the lights of other buildings outside. The bottom oven did not work although the smaller top one did which was fine for my use. Also the balcony door did not open and the handle was loose. I was only staying one night so didn’t complain as they did not affect my stay so I cannot comment on the speed at rectifying any issues. I also found the experience of no reception area or formal check out and having to get rid of rubbish to avoid a £50 fine not to my taste, but that is probably true of most serviced apartments. Overall it is a little rough around the edges but for the price and proximity to Canary Wharf, very good.

Different apartment to photos on bookings.com. The complete OPPOSITE of deluxe. Carpets in both bedrooms stained and dirty. Towels really thin and small with no spares and no hand towels or tea towels. No plugs in any sinks. Toilet in en suite was disgusting as really stained. Heated towel rail in bathroom looked unsafe with wires coming out of the wall. Toiletries looked like left overs from previous guests. No kettle. Rusty unusable saucepans. Badly fitted kitchen units. Two sofas both dirty looking and were very uncomfortable. Big gap in laminate flooring. Paintwork in serious need of updating as really dirty and grubby in places. Actually, the whole flat is in dire need of a paint job and a spruce up as overall looked unclean and unloved. Was such a shame and we were really disappointed as the apartment is in a fabulous location for the O2 and the view over Canary Wharf was wonderful but I would never stay here again or recommend it to anybody.
