Great location on the waterfront right by the water bus. We found it a great place to explore down town from. Easy to get to down town but you can retreat back here for a quieter evening. Hotel is on the third floor of a building that holds a bunch of smaller shops and kiosks - kind of like an indoor market. Larger area has lots of nice shops and restaurants as well. Hotel wants to be posh but it's not. It's OK but is getting dated and showing wear. Frankly the hotel is over priced with it's location being it's saving grace in my opinion. There is a small restaurant and pricey, but you are better off exploring the surrounding area for interesting places to eat.

The check in staff were helpful, the room was comfortable and had a nice view. Beds were comfy an. The breakfast however was terrible. It was a Sunday morning and the restaurant was half full when we arrived at 0930. It took 10 mins for coffee to arrive then a full 40 minutes for our food order. Both of us endured cold eggs and cold bacon and cold toast. It had obviously been kept on hold for quite some time. The people near us were offered the wrong food twice in a row. This experience taught us never to eat there again. With the discount coupons we still paid 21$ for this awful meal. This poor service took away the hour we had allotted that morning to walk on the quayside. Just go to the market or nearby cafes to get your breakfast.

Booked the stay for my bfs birthday got the best room in the house for 2 nights. The parking was a nightmare. It’s Van so no where to park but we parked underground and followed instructions. The room says it had a private hot tub it was not a hot tub it was a 1.5 person jacuzzi. The room was spacious the view amazing. Unfortunately the curtains which run floor to ceiling are outdated and kept falling off the tracks. The air conditioning unit and also the heater was very loud. Day 2 we were trying to relax but for 3 hours they were working on something right beside our suite. That was annoying we needed a kettle I called down and the front end staff told me I’d have to come get it. The little restaurant they have there is nice and the ladies are pleasant. Upon returning to our car in a spot they told us to park there was construction no notice, a note on my car telling me the parking lot was closed. Gladly they didn’t tow and we got out. I know it’s expensive in Vancouver but would expect more from a hotel that has rates like that.

DO NOT BOOK TO STAY IN THE CARRIE CATES PENTHOUSE SUITE!!!! The walls are absolutely paper thin. There is no way that it meets proper fire codes!!!! You can hear everything the people in the next room say and do...everything (all night long!!) The other rooms bathroom backs on to where the bed is in the penthouse. You can actually hear people using the toilet (right next to your head) as if you were in the same room as them. The other guests were only having normal conversations...they were not excessively loud yet we could hear every word. When I spoke to the front desk (and also emailed them) absolutely nothing was offered in compensation or even an apology...definitely not worth the money. Plumbing fixtures on the jacuzzi tub are not installed properly. No where to eat room service if you did order it (no proper table or chairs) Spend your money somewhere else! I had hoped for a much needed romantic staycation for my partner and I. Huge disappointment in the accommodations.

Room was nice but check in experience was poor. Original room they put us in was adjoining and there was a dog next door. Asked to be moved to a new room and I had to argue with them just to get. 10% discount on the up charge for a new room. I actually had to convince the check in agent to phone his manager just to get that. Next morning we had coupons for the restaurant but nowhere did it say that the restaurant closes at 11 so we didn’t make it on time. They refused to extend the expiry date. Honestly, ok rooms but TERRIBLE SERVICE. We used to be regulars for staycations but not any more.

The panoramic suite with the walk out balcony was superb. It had anything you could ask for and more. The views are simply fantastic in the evening. The room itself was clean and very comfortable. The hotel has an on-site restaurant which was great. But in the market downstairs, there is a plethora of food choices!

Room was a corner unit on the 4th floor with a single queen bed. Clean and comfortable. Great view of the harbour and water. One downside was the AC unit being so loud you can’t sleep with it running, even on low. Too noisy outside to open the windows. Need an upgrade. Also, unit had adjoining doors to other two suites so could hear people talking clearly. Poor sound proofing.

Location of hotel was great. Many wonderful restaurants along the water front closeby. It is also beside the water taxi with easy access to the island near Canada Place. Boardwalk made for a nice area to stroll to watch the sunset. Room was nice, roomy, very clean and absolutely loved the rain shower. Located in building with a lovely market, and restaurant provided a water view and good food.

Sahil is a great asset to this Hotel. He is very kind and sympathetic. There was an issue with the alarm system from the Quay market below that transferred into my room. Although it was an issue he could not rectify due to being in the Market he still tried to do what he could, and to ensure that I was as comfortable as possible.
