We enjoyed our stay here. Good breakfast options and a nice lounge/lobby area. Has a relaxed feel and a good ambience. Staff have been friendly and helpful, making you feel welcome. The rooms were OK but rather basic. Tea and coffee making facilities would have improved the experience, and we would have liked power sockets/phone charging points for both beds. But a good experience overall.

Hotel's Favorite
I used the hotel when travelling by car, so the location is good for getting in late and out and away early. Parking underneath the hotel worked great. Hotel staff recommended the “pay in advance “ option that saved us a lot of money. Clean, efficient and somewhat boring room, but OK for the purpose. Great breakfast.

The social restaurant. Food, advice, service and especially waiting staff exceptionally professional, helpful and friendly. There was a small but insignificant delay in dessert and the manager provided discount without my requesting it. Top rated 👌

Horrible hotel that know they can make big bucks off of concert goers. Our “superior” room and the entire hallway smells of wet dog. When we complained, house keeping came in a sprayed the room with perfume. Now it smells like a perfumed wet dog. The housekeeper told us it was their vacuumer that made everything smell. Two of the lamps in the room doesn’t work and the bed and couch has stains and holes in the fabric. The couch is also broken on one side. Our room is situated above an area where people are smoking non stop. And it’s right above the bar, and it’s apparent they haven’t sound proofed properly. Our bathroom is supposed to be disabled friendly, but honestly it’s just run down and hardly have room for a wheel chair. The shower has one glass door and one flimsy shower curtain (hanging on by a thread) that is supposed to cover the rest. The water goes everywhere but the drain. There are also large cracks in the grouts. The restaurant has dinner for 450nok per person but there are only a few tables and not enough room for almost any paying guests. We paid big bucks to stay here and have a lot of nights at hotels every year. This is by far the worst hotel we’ve stayed at in Norway. So much that we wrote this review.

Hi Maren, First of all, thank you for your feedback, it's the only way we can improve and become better! We think it is sad that you are so disappointed with your stay with us, that is not how we want to be perceived. Unfortunately we had issues with the filter on the vacuum cleaners used in the corridor and some of the rooms around where you were staying, which caused the smell you were experiencing. We can only apologise for this! Light bulbs can go out at any time, but we replace them continuously. I hope you notified reception when you stayed here so we could sort it out? We will fix the missing hook in the front panel so it doesn't fall off when you come near it. The sofa has signs of use and normal wear and tear, but they are cleaned regularly (and extra if necessary) and the stains you refer to cannot unfortunately be removed. However, we could not find any holes in either the sofa or the bed. The bathrooms in the superior rooms have plenty of space to move a wheelchair around, unless you have a large, electric wheelchair - then it can be a bit tight. We will fix the silicone that has loosened at the top in two of the corners, but otherwise there is only normal wear and tear on the grouting, we could not find any big cracks. As you were here for a concert, we had a buffet so we could welcome more guests. We have room for 130 - 150 guests in the restaurant, and if there are a lot of 2 people reservations it can get a little tight between some of the tables, otherwise there is plenty of space between those sitting there. We think it is sad that you say our hotel is the worst you have stayed at in Norway. We will take action on the feedback that you have given, but at the same time we do not fully recognize ourselves in everything you say. We hope you will return another time and give us the opportunity to improve the impression you have of the hotel. Kind regards Kristine

Nice location of the hotel. Pleasant place. Room was ok, but not clean enough (dust on the floor). We stayed for 3 nights and according to rhe hotel policy we should had asked for the cleaning services…breakfast was really nice : good selection of cheese & fruits. A plus: coffee & tea in the lobby area.

Hi Achilina, Thank you for taking your time to give us feedback - we really appreciate it! We are also very happy with our location in the calm environment close to the sea :) Breakfast is one of the most important things for many when they are staying in a hotel, so it is nice to hear that you enjoyed this :) However we are not happy to hear that you found dust on the floor since having a clean hotel is something we put our pride into! We would be very grateful if you would contact us directly so we can figure out which room you stayed in so we can follow up on this. Welcome back on another occasion, and we would be happy to hear more from you! Kind regards, Kristine

Stayed here for two nights in March 2023. The hotel is about 1,000NOK (£90) in a taxi from the airport and about a 50 minute ride. First impression was a large hotel with huge foyer / bar area. Staff were accommodating and check in was from 3, but we got in at 2 on request. Ideally located for the Telenor Arena, about a 5 minute walk, the hotel public areas are clean and modern. The room (411) was clean, moderne and comfortable - although small and basic. The bed was comfortable, although bizarrely the double bed came with two single duvets! The shower and toilet was clean and shower was warm, powerful and equipped with body wash. The check in was from 3 and check out by 11am. The bar was good, although very busy on concert nights, so be prepared to queue! The breakfast was good, with hot and cold food buffets well stocked and tasty. No complaints. Taxi to Oslo Centre about 400NOK (£35), so not ideally located to the city, but we booked as we did a concert at the Telenor, so was very much fit for purpose. Norway / Oslo was expensive… food, drink and travel, but it’s a lovely country, city and the people were very friendly. Norway is a clean place and it felt safe day and night… if it’s the winter months, make sure you bring warm clothes as the temperature is f-f-freeezing!

Hi Damian, Thank you so much for taking your time to write a review, we really appreciate it! We are very pleased to read the lovely comments and happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay :) In the Nordic countries it's more common with single duvets, even in double beds. Sharing is not always caring ;) Hope to see you again another time, welcome back! Kind regards Kristine, Profit & People Manager

I stayed here for two nights during a business trip. I arrived in Oslo quite late and because the buses from Lysaker station were running infrequently, I decided to walk. When you approach the hotel via the footpath/cyclepath from the north, there is no signage to the entrance. This can be especially confusing because the building is also shared with some businesses; I ended up at the side door, ringing the bell for reception for five minutes in the freezing cold with no answer. When I finally did make it to the correct entrance, I again waited five minutes for anyone to show up at reception to check me in. There was no bell to get anyone's attention and while there was a party going on in the lobby, the bartender was unable to provide any help beyond telling me someone would be around soon enough. It was past midnight and all I wanted to do was go to bed. The service was friendly enough when they were around. The room itself was extremely underwhelming. I specifically asked for a double bed, but it ended up being two single beds pushed together with two duvets. The duvets were definitely not standard size – it would be generous to say they were a metre wide and they barely covered me, so I can imagine any with above-average weight would struggle to stay warm overnight. The toiletries were limited to a bar of soap and one of those delightful shampoo/shower gel dispensers in the shower. The hair dryer was cheap and weak. There wasn't even a safe in the room so I had to carry around my passport with me for the whole trip. The hotel is described as a conference hotel, so I thought I would be able to do some work there. The wifi is completely unsecured, no password, no room number, nothing required. I didn't even feel comfortable connecting my phone to it let alone doing any sort of confidential work. Overall, most of the basics are included in this hotel, but for the price I expected much better quality (it's in the hotel name!). I know Norway is expensive but this felt like a private room in hostel for twice the cost. The only good parts of my stay were the location of the hotel, which is right on Oslo's fjord – it makes for stunning views, especially at sunrise; and the breakfast buffet, which was plentiful and really had something for everyone. I would definitely not stay here again.

Thank you for taking your time to write a review - we really appreciate it! You should be able to enter the hotel from both entrances (also at night), but I can see that you arrived around the time our night receptionists do a swipe walk in the corridors. We are changing the routines for this, so hopefully this won't happen again. I am a bit confused about the beds though, in your reservation it says that you've stayed in a room with a double bed. I even checked the room now, just to be sure that there is a double bed in this room. All our duvets are standard size, but in the Nordic countries it's more normal with single duvets so if you are used to double duvets they might feel a bit on the smaller side. We do have safes in the reception, free to use for all guests when they ask for it :) We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the breakfast, we know this is an important part of a hotel stay for many of our guests :) And the views are amazing, specially on a sunny morning or evening! I really hope you would change your mind about not staying in our hotel again, you are welcome back at any time! Kind regards, Kristine

I have been here on a conference. First the positive side, the hotel is nicely located and the coffee, cakes and ice cream machine during the session breaks were great. But, the evening dinner was poor. I had a vegetarian meal , which was sad, smashed potatoes, green beans, some falafels covered by an suspicious brown sauce. Alcohol extremely expensive, for a glass of average wine 145 NOK and a 0.33 bottle of beer 95,- NOK even for Oslo expensive. In my room was a brown patch in front of the bed, there were no additional facilities like a shoehorn. The room was clean but not very cozy. Lunch and breakfast were good.
