Casa Lecanda is a small luxury boutique hotel exclusively for adults located within the historical center of Merida, Yucatán. Built in a completely restored traditional Yucatecan home, the hotel has been designed to retain the original Meridian style with points of European luxury so prevalent in the golden age of Merida’s Sisal barons. Painstaking attention to detail, architecture, and landscaping provides guests with a uniquely local experience and a sanctuary within the city; a refuge of serenity, privacy and relaxation. A place our guests can call home as they reach out and discover all the beauty and magnificence that the Yucatan Peninsula has to offer.

Quiet, tastefully decorated, 5-star boutique hotel with excellent breakfast and service. Small and personal. Turndown service. The hotel is located in Barrio de Santa Ana on 47th street, which is so spruced up that it resembles a movie set.

Beautiful and quaint. Very clean with beds that were so comfortable. The staff are a 10+ Walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Has a very romantic setting nestled in trees. The bathrooms are spacious enough for a couple to share with cool counter space for women.

Oh my goodness, this hotel is AWESOME. If I could give it 6 stars, I would. In all my travels in Mexico, I've only found one other hotel I'd rate so highly. This place is awesome in all aspects. Service is stellar, simply amazing. The property is beautiful and restful, indeed, simply hanging out at the hotel on a hot day is a brilliant idea here. The location is perfect, right near the Paseo Mantejo and an easy walk to the city center. The room was large and comfortable. Try the tamarind margaritas by the pool. This place is excellent, and when I return to Merida, there is no question where I will stay. Well done! Especially attentive were Morgan and Rocio, but the whole team was great. Thank you!

This is a beautifully converted town house close to the center of town in an immaculate street well served with great restaurants. The hotel itself is an elegantly and tastefully decorated boutique with outstanding quality and friendliness of service. Highly recommended as a romantic destination. And special thanks for Mario and Eduardo for looking after us so well!

Loved our stay at Casa Lecanda; with just 7 rooms the hotel is an attractive and beautifully maintained oasis of tranquility set on a quiet street about 15 minutes walk from the centre of Merida. Our room was great - spacious, well-appointed, and with a very comfortable bed, and the breakfasts were just delicious. What really makes this place, though, are the staff, all of whom were extremely friendly, helpful, generous with their time and dedicated to ensuring that guests' stays are the best they could possibly be - nothing was too much trouble. It is worth noting that while we were there we did have one somewhat disturbed night due to late-night noise from a nearby outdoor restaurant - not sure if this was a one-off pre-Day of the Dead celebration or a regular Saturday night thing. However, the other nights were completely quiet, and this incident certainly wouldn't deter us from returning to Casa Lecanda - we would be delighted to stay there again!

Thank you very much for such a wonderful review and taking the time to share your experience at Casa Lecanda. The staff is the hart and soul of the hotel and our main goal is to make you feel like home. We appreciate letting us know about the noise you experienced, it was in deed a special festivity from a near by restaurant; we hope the rest of your stay was peaceful and pleasent!

The inn is not only spotless and meticulously well kept, but the personnel are wonderfully warm and generous with their time and attention. We had great interactions, sometimes lengthy conversations, with every receptionist, server, and other staffer, about life in Mérida, restaurants, places of interest, you name it. Our bed was perhaps the most comfortable we've ever had, the room was charming and comfortable, very well air-conditioned (which we needed!) and the bath was the biggest we've ever seen. The inn is in the quietest and most charming part of the center of town. Don't miss this place!

We stayed here for 2 nights of our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. The hotel is beautiful, clean and has wonderful facilities. We had an absolutely massive bed with huge high ceilings in our room. The bed was so comfortable. The pool area was so clean, quiet and tranquil. We had breakfast included which was always so good, and the welcome drink was a really nice margarita which we enjoyed by the pool. The main thing here though is the wonderful staff. We had Mario and Eduardo looking after us while we were there who were just so friendly, helpful and funny. We loved chatting with them both. When we told them that we were on our honeymoon, they even left us some nice chocolates and congratulations letter in our room after they cleaned the room after the first night which was such a lovely touch. We felt they really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and enjoy our stay. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Merida, and if we visit Merida again we would definitely stay again at Casa Lecanda.

Arrived in a terrible rain storm to find the street was inaccessible due to construction. We were so upset. We called the hotel and they immediately sent two bellhops with large umbrellas for us and to get our luggage. So wonderful. The room, Lucia, was beautiful! We received a welcome drink that was delicious and fun. Turn down service was lovely. We were given two chocolates every night and fresh towels throughout the day. They offered filtered water in bottles in the room or the option to buy bottled water. The patios and pool area were gorgeous. Felt like an oasis in the middle of the city. So peaceful. The highlight of our stay was (super) Mario. So friendly! He made us feel welcome- like family. He offered suggestions for dinner and answered any and all questions we had about Merida. He did everything he could to make our stay amazing.
