Spent two nights while a friend has some surgery at a nearby clinic. Clean and very comfortable room. They arranged prompt taxis early in the morning and wake up calls. Very attentive and professional staff.
Located next door to am amazing mall with lots of restaurants and shops.

We found the hotel through “bookings “ and we were given their rate, when we arrived at the hotel the price was higher, and we were there for a funeral we needed the room and took their rate.
The room was in a building away from the restaurant. On the 3rd floor

I stayed two nights at the Hotel Malibu recently, left for the coast over the weekend, and then came back to Guadalajara for business after the weekend. I did not return to the Hotel Malibu. I believe my room was around $90 US/night. I can not point to any one thing about the place that kept me from falling in love with the place, but it was a million little things that add up to a mediocre experience. I requested an iron and ironing board when I placed the reservation, and when I checked in not only was there no iron waiting for me (sure, that is a high expectation), but there was no record of my request, and all of the irons were in "lock down" until 8 the next morning (same time as my business meeting that brought me to town in the first place). Fortunately I had packed my shirt fairly well. One other example, I got a massage from their spa that afternoon. I am fairly certain that my masseuse had not only never given a massage before, I'm not sure she had ever even received one. It was the worst I've ever paid for. The pillows were terrible. But everything was clean and if I found it necessary to stay there again, I would not be upset...other than by the sense that there are better hotels to be had in GDL.

Stayed once before and enjoyed this hotel. Came back again and found our first experience was not an anomaly but just their regular consistent level of service, cleanliness, and great breakfasts.
If you book directly with the hotel before arriving you can get a promotional rate including breakfast. It is best to book by telephone at the numbers on their website as they often don´t reply to e-mails.

We were particularly impressed by the personal service in the restaurant we got from Andrea, Antonio and Ricardo.

We will be back here again next year..

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel in early October 2014. I chose this hotel because it was central to where our friends live in Zapopan, close to Tlaquepaque for restaurants and authentic Mexican gifts and not far from the wedding location we were attending? The hotel was also next door to a large shopping mall which normally might be a negative but it turned out to be quite handy for picking up snacks and last minute wedding accessories. Don't expect all of the front desk staff to speak English but enough do that we had no problems! The concierge Fernando took very good care of us. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and air conditioning worked well. I would stay here again!

Spent 5 nights at the Malibu and it was quite nice.
The room was a queen with two queen size beds and a nice couch. It was very spacious.
The grounds are very nice with a big green between buildings. It has tables with umbrellas, chairs and a large well kept lawn. This was a great touch.
Breakfast was excellent with omelettes, Mexican specialties and fresh fruit.
My only problem was the design of the shower doors, which did not keep water off the bathroom floor.

We were in the Puerto Vallarta area as Hurricane Patricia bore down on the coast of Mexico. The Hotel Malibu tried to charge us $486 US for the first night, when all other nights were $45-60 US. Arriving from a 7 hour taxi trip across the mountains we had to hassle with the hotel and finally contacted Booking.com. They canceled our reservation for us, no charge, so the hotel gave us the "regular" rate. DON'T go there.

Atentamente; Lic. Violeta Mota HOTEL MALIBU

We regularly visit Guadalajara but this is the first time we stayed at the Malibu. Always before we stayed in Centro Historico but as we have seen all of the historic sites over and over we decided to stay somewhere different.

This hotel is in a great location, right beside the Gran Plaza Shopping Mall which with it´s food fair and many restaurants give s multiple choices to eat.

If you book the hotel diretly their promotions gives you accomodation plus breakfast. It i a wonderful buffet breakfast, with many choices. We usually ate enough that we lasted until dinner time to eat again.

We only took a room as we were only there four nights. It was modern, well furnished and believe it or not unlike most Mexican hotels, it was well lit in both the room and bathroom. We are going back again for another short stay, but think that the next time we go to Guadalajara for a week or two we will definitely stay here and will take a suite.

The price was very reasonable and less than much of the competition. The staff were friendly, helpful and most spoke some English.

Have been coming here for several years. This time for three weeks. We love the location next to a large mall with a many places to eat. The hotel's restaurant has good meals as well. The hotel is on a major thoroughfare which makes it simple to get around the city.

Our stay has breakfast included in the tariff. It is a buffet with multiple choices including omelets etc cooked to order. It goes until noon so it is more like having brunch.

The staff are all great, very obliging and helpful, particularly those at the breakfast buffet. Our favourite person is Violeta who does a wonderful job securing our reservations and helping us in all things.

Many of the staff are bilingual whicch is also a plus.
