The room was clean but sparse, no pictures on the walls, etc. However, it did have a patio with a great view of the surf and stars. The front desk staff and cleaning staff were very friendly. Website states laundry facilities on site, but that's not true. Only one restaurant open and they were out of about half their menu. Food was mediocre at best, but drinks were good and reasonably priced.

This hotel was nice because it was by itself and had its own private beach. The staff was friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the restaurant/bar that was located on the property too. They had entertainment and good food. If I go back, that is where I will stay again.

The tamarind is a nice nature resort, room are big but set up like a motel. It has a nice pool, awesome bar and good restaurant. It does run on island time. They have kayaks and snorkeling gear you can use but you have to ask. Looks like the beach, volleyball area use to be great but needs some work. You cannot swim in the beach area. No hammock chair in my room like the picture but I was told they were full so my room didn’t have one. Cleaning staff great.

Beautiful views, great location! Caribbean night especially was awesome with fire dancers and Moko jumbies. There was a nice mix of locals and tourists with everyone seeming to really enjoy themselves. There’s a sweet cat that hangs around which we enjoyed looking for each day and loving on as well as rosters and chickens roaming which we really loved! The food was good but limited selection and honestly kind of a confusing process as far as paying..would have been better/less confusing to pay more for the stay and have meals included or a buffet breakfast for guests or something. Breakfast especially, where you get a $20 credit towards and sign your name and room number to pay is confusing. It wasn’t a big deal but just feel like it would be nice if they’d come up with a better method. They only other thing I will say that made this not quite a 5 star experience was a white, older gentleman tending the bar a few nights. Everyone else who works here that we had encountered from house cleaning to front desk and all the waitstaff bartenders had been so awesome and personable so it was kind of a shock to the system encountering this grump on our second day. There is no nice way to put it- that guy is a jerk. We didn’t even have any real run in with him or issue but he was just generally unfriendly and dick-ish. Why work in a customer facing role if you don’t like people? I feel like that guy needs a different job where he doesn’t work with people. I would give him the benefit of the doubt that maybe he was having a bad day but we brought it up in passing with a local and they stated he’s always like that. Cheer up my dude, if you can’t be happy here idk what to tell ya!

Beautiful room! The resort upgraded the rooms !! I love the updates. There are now kitchenettes in the rooms. The sunrise and sunset views are as amazing as I remember and the sound of the calm of the sea makes the room stay perfect. Glad I went back .Can’t wait to visit again!

First I want to say positive things about the experience. The view is beautiful, the room is very clean and the food and drinks were good. The website paints a picture I suppose of the past. It is not like that now although it has tremendous promise which is sad. The TV never worked despite several people trying and I’m not sure they had the experience to address the problem anyway. The bar had no fruit for the first four days of our visit and the pool was filthy most of our stay. Again the staff caring for the pool on occasion probably didn’t know what to do to care for a large pool for guests in order to keep people from getting sick. The grounds are disappointing. There were old wet towels laying around the pool area all week! No one cleans up. I don’t understand it. I think it has such promise and makes me sad that whoever owns this hotel is claiming to be fixing it up but not succeeding! If you look at reviews all the way back to 2019, guests are saying the same things. The hotel response is promises of improvements but I don’t see them. TripAdvisor should have better standards in helping people decide where to stay. I’ll be back but not here sadly.

Good afternoon Deborah, Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent stay at our resort. I appreciate your positive comments about the beautiful view, clean rooms, and good food and drinks. However, I sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered during your visit. It is disheartening to hear that the TV in your room did not work despite our team's attempts to fix it. I will revisit our training procedures to make sure that we can better address the needs of our future guests. As a result of your feedback we have increased our grounds patrol to make sure that the pool and all other areas are kept to our high standard. We take your concerns seriously, and I assure you that we are actively working on enhancing our property to meet the expectations of our valued guests. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this process and I hope you can give us another opportunity to exceed your expectations in the future.

My husband and I spent a week at Tamarind Reef. Our room was exceptional . . clean, spacious and included a beautiful view. We were met with friendly faces everyday which made our stay all the more enjoyable. The housekeeping staff, maintenance, restaurant and bar staff and front desk were all there to make our experience the best it could be. I would strongly recommend Tamarind for couples, families and those looking for a most convenient location in which to explore the island.

We traveled to St. Croix for a quick weekend getaway with the our 10 year old and 8th month old arriving late Friday Night - From Check in to Check out we had such a great time. Traveling with an Infant they had set up a pack and play for us in our room before we arrived making it easy to get to sleep upon arrival. We went to early breakfast Saturday at the Deep End Grill and had a great leisurely breakfast - we hung out by the pool, relaxed at the beach and relaxed on the beach front porch. The room was updated with clean finishes and nice touches that made the stay great.

I enjoyed my stay at tamarmind. Pros: The rooms were cleaned every day. Always had fresh towels, coffee, toiletries etc. There is a nice view of buck island and Green Bay island from the balcony. The staff are so nice and accommodating! Deep end restaurant is very good and they give you a $20 voucher for breakfast! The galleon restaurant is expensive but the food is excellent. You can rent snorkel gear and kayaks for free. There is a gym and tennis court. Cons: the beach is a bit dangerous. There are rocks everywhere…the water, the sand. I don’t recommend for small children. Shoy beach and Cheney beach are close by and better for swimming. I highly recommended you rent a car to travel to other beaches and have the freedom of not being confined to the resort. There are no elevators so this is not a good place for older folks either. Security is only there at night which makes safety questionable. Overall great stay but resort needs some improvement.

Good afternoon Ms.Chung Li, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at our resort! I'm glad that you were able to experience our clean rooms, excellent views, wonderful food, and most importantly our incredible team. I will be sure to share your compliments with everyone. We have a deep love for our elders and while unfortunately we do not have an elevator to service our balcony rooms, we are happy to offer ground floor and Handicapped Accessible accommodations to meet their needs. We are grateful to have our head of security live on property to cover our day time security needs, he keeps a low profile but a vigilant eye. Thank you again for the valuable feedback, we hope to welcome you back to Tamarind Reef Resort soon!
