I will return here to eat as Myrieme the owner knows how to prepare delicious meals. My room was quite attractive and very clean too. I loved the views from the many verandas in this hotel. It is located just off the waterside boulevard where there are many restaurants, hotels and an ATM. The staff was also very friendly and took me by car to the airport and picked me up at a nearby restaurant when I had to return late at night.

We stayed with a large gruop as everything else was booked. The rooms are large and clean but the set up a very weird as it seems to be a bunch of houses in top of one another. The decoration is also weird, I got a suite with a bathroom with no door and strange furniture. No hair dryer in the hotel at all. But very quiet st night

We've just spent the last 4 nights here and found it very satisfactory. The room was very clean and housekeeping did a great job. Staff was courteous and attentive. Bed was comfortable. We paid $115 U.S. For an air conditioned room. I'd recommend this place.

Rooms were spacious with nice air conditioning, wifi and a small tv. The hotel is overlooking the beach and there are several restaurants nearby. I did not eat at the restaurants based on the reviews. There are couple reasons why I would not rate this hotel 5 stars 1. I was told there was hot water in the room but 3 times I had to go back to front desk to request hot water not sure if they turn it off at a certain time but it is bothersome 2. There is a need for a shower curtain in the bathroom. I know it is the style in Haiti but in their case the toilet is right next to the shower so after taking a shower its impossible to use the toilet since water is all over it 3. We stayed there 2 days; first breakfast was delicious and there was a few options to pick from. 2nd day we were just given 2 boiled eggs, american cheese and bread (for 2 ppl) and that was the only option. What type of breakfast is that? Also they jelly they have on the table for breakfast had mold on top (view pic). I understand it is homemade but I am sure if they cared they would check on a daily basis to avoid getting people sick. I would consider them in the future but they are certainly not my 1st, 2nd or 3rd choice and for the price if breakfast is inclusive do it right. 1 boiled egg per person for breakfast is rude

We didn't stay at the hotel, we only ate at the restaurant. We ordered a couple of different types of fish, all of which was delicious, the service was attentive and polite and prompt! They also had fresh warm bread rolls, tasted just like from a Parisian bakery!

rooms are spacious and well furnished. tv doesnt really work, and this is a shame for the price you pay. A/C is good and location is perfect. there's a supermarket at a walking distance and places to eat other than the hotel. the food is pricy but good. the owner is not easy to get along with but the staff is wonderful. hot water only in the morning, another same.

I thought the hotel was wonderful. I had room 111 with a great view and lovely room. The food was excellent the one night we ate there. Sat out on the upstairs patio and had drinks watching the sun set..magical. It does seem that the experience is colored by the specific room you get. Would go back in a minute and thought the prices were reasonable.

We stayed at this establishment for 2 nights. We felt it was overpriced based on the room we got. Also the restaurant is pricy and we waited almost 1 1/2 to get our food. Our dinner almost cost the same as what we paid to stay there. However, the staff is very friendly and the location is ideal. An upgrade of the furniture and a bit of remodelling is long overdue. Overall, we were comfortable and would recommend this place.

Well, I did not have a good time at the Jardin de l'Océan where I spent two nights. The worse was probably having no or very little water in the bathroom. Electricity was cut off for several hours a day (there was a generator but it often remained idle), internet did not work at all for about 36 hours, mattresses and pillows were sub-standard, and breakfast - supposedly served from 6.30 am was not available the day I checked out at 6.50 am. The room was clean though. TV was not working. There was no shampoo. Staff were polite and pleasant.

Les Jardins de l'Ocean is a decent hotel. There is nothing exciting about it, besides the view (for some rooms) and the location. I was extremely bothered with the smell of cigarette in the room. The smell was so strong that I could not even stay in the room once we entered. The hotel was booked completely, therefore we were not able to get another room. They resolved the issue by spraying air freshener in the room and opening the windows. I must admit that after leaving the windows open for sometime while we had dinner (outside of the hotel), the problem with the smell was not as bad. My friend had a problem with her room, she left the air conditioner on to keep the room cool while we had dinner and when she returned the room was filled with water. The staff was friendly enough to clean, but it was a bit disappointing to have to wait, because she was tired from a long day trip from Port-au-Prince to Cap-Haitien. Also, the hotel is expensive and their free breakfast was plain and boring. The owner seemed intimidating at first, but she was pretty nice after we interacted a bit with her. She allowed us to leave our luggage in the hotel even after checking out. We decided to leave them as precaution when we visited the Citadelle, then we returned for them and we headed to Labadee.
