Only a stone throw away from the beach and about 15 minutes walk from Playa Kralendijk (The Centrum) you will find a small apartment complex. The location is beautiful, quiet and privacy bound with a good view around. The apartments and a studio's, are each decorated in a fancy, comfortable and atmospheric style and radiate an Egyptian, Asian, African or Mexican atmosphere. Every apartment has its own terrace, providing access to the communal pool.

The worst host in my life. We reserved a king size bed. It was actually two single beds on a king size bedframe. The mattress and pillows felt like densely rolled up cotton but whatever we were happy at that point. We had the place to ourselves and marlose seemed nice. The following day everything went to hell. I went out for a walk in the morning and came back in an hour. She immediately stopped me by the pool and told me I didn't turn off the air conditioner so she went inside and turned it off. I saw our car parked outside so I didn't know my bf also walked out while I was out. It felt a little intrusive but I told her we're sorry and that he probably went out to get coffee and came back right away. She insisted it didn't matter and that we must turn off A/C even if it's just a minute. I told her I will. But she wasn't satisfied. She kept on telling me. I didn't know what to do so I told her that I will and just walked away. The next day or day after the power went out at night. I was brushing my teeth in the bathroom and she knocked on my door. I ignored the first two because I was in the middle of brushing my teeth. She kept on knocking so I answered. She disturbed me at night to tell me she didn't turn off the power. I was stunned. What kind of sick person would think that? Why did she feel the need to tell me that? I could've been sleeping. That actually got me curious and looked around the other properties nearby and saw other houses had power. Later I learned that it does happen there in Bonaire. I asked her those houses with power, if they had generators. She just freaked out. She was pointing at the airport and completely freaking out. I just wanted to get out of the situation so I said I don't think you understood what I said. Anyways goodnight and ran back into the room. After 30 minutes or I hear frantic knocking. Nonstop. Calling my name. I was actually scared at that point. I didn't answer and she couldn't see me because of the power being out. The next morning, she knocked on my door again. Not the gentle kind. She told me housekeeping lady was coming in an hour. I told her we didn't need housekeeping but she told me it wasn't up to me. We felt really uncomfortable. We checked into a different hotel. We rushed packing and got out. We decided to come back on the check out day to make sure we didn't leave anything so we had the key. On that day we got there around 9am. As soon as I tried to open the room, she showed up, yelling at me, what I was doing as if I was trespassing. I told her I'm here to check the room and return the key. She was not happy. She yelled at me not to go in the room because it's already been cleaned. I was really upset at how she was treating me. I gave her the key and walked toward the car. She followed me and yelled at me about us taking the key and disappearing. And that it was rude and so on. I jogged my way back to the car and telling her. Why she was following me. She came all the way to the driver's side and yelled at my bf what an awful person I'm. It was a nightmare. I feel like we started on the wrong foot but even without any of it, we felt we were being watched and didn't feel comfortable. The other hotel we checked in was called Docks. That place was amazing. Same price, much more space and privacy. Much more relaxed vibe. Nicer bed and pillows. A queen bed so no single beds separating while sleeping. Nice views, free parking, no A/C police, everything was better.

Myself and my partners stayed with Eric and Marloes at the end of April 2019. We came here for a 10 day scuba diving vacation on Bonaire. After reading the reviews and narrowing down our search we settled on the Caribbean Chillout and we’re so very glad we did. Eric and Marloes are delightful folks and wonderful hosts. We stayed in a room with a king bed, the air worked, the WiFi is free and flawless, the housekeeping is stellar and the entire place is clean and wonderful. The photo is of Eric cleaning the pool while we had coffee and waited for an afternoon scuba trip. (Read my review of AB Drive & Dive for that). Caribbean Chillout is located close to the airport and we caught a local shuttle ($69 round trip) to get there. Eric welcomed us, and shared a beer to start our trip. The place feels safe as well as quiet with a market a short walk and a BIG market a somewhat longer walk away. It’s possible to stroll to the waterfront if you wish, just bring good shoes to walk in as it’s not especially close. The room had a coffee and a tea pot, fridge, 4 burner stove and a clean, private bathroom with a huge shower. You and all your friends could shower in there together if you wish! By the pool is a plaza that Eric and Marloes have built, you can even sleep out there by the pool on a nice raised bed platform. The also have a bar and grill downtown, Woodstock, that’s fun and funky and worth a visit. I highly recommend Caribbean Chillout and you can count on quick and quality communication from your hosts.

Visited Bonaire for the week to celebrate Valentine's days 😉. My husband surprised me with this trip. We stayed at the Caribbean Chill Out, must say that the name speaks for itself. Lovely and cozy place. Will definitely stay here again. The owners are awesome.

We have already stayed for a couple of times at Caribbean Chillout and with a good reason. We loved every visit! They have different appartments and all are very well maintained and clean, also they are being cleaned very often. The common garden with a pool and palmtrees is a vacation on itself, where the relaxed feeling comes to you! Eric & Marloes are great hosts and always available if you have questions or need tips, they know the island very well. If you are looking for a place to stay during your vacation or visit to Bonaire then look no further. I definitely recommend Caribbean Chillout everybody, be it couples, friends, families or alone. Thanks for the great times over here!

We stayed for 10 days at the Chillout and found it to be a really nice place to stay. You do need a vehicle and although the apartments are not that big you are living out doors and only need to be inside to sleep or lie down after an exhausting day in the fantastic sun. Being at the Chillout you will meet up with more people who will help you to get around and tell you of their experiences on this fantastic island. After spending hours under the hot skies the pool is a great cooling down point and then the treat of the outside shower which is just nice and warm. We really enjoyed our stay here but it is not the Ritz, it is just a great way to spend a few weeks chilling out.

Eric and Marloes are friendly . The appartment was clean. Cleaning twice a week . I stayed for two weeks. But never saw a movie night. Not too far from the center. But you need a car. The pool was okay. The owners are available in the morning. The negative was the airconditioning . Turns off every hour. And turns on again after 45 minutes. It gets warm .. So .. Did not sleep good. For the wifi you have to go out of the appartment. But when it gets dark you have to go in side because of the muskitoes. So dont forget youre OFF spray !!

Nice swimming pool. Friendly owners. Very small one room apartment. At first cleaning was done more than they say they would. Because of the illness of one of the owners the cleaning in the second half was way below the promised cleanings.

When a arrived at Caribbean Chillout Apartments, Eric and Marloes (two friendly Dutch persons), Marloes showed me the way in the appartment. If I needed anything, I could just come to them. But they let you do your own thing, if you know what I mean. It is a very relaxed place with only 4 appartments, with an nice pool in the middle of the garden. Nice garden also, with plants large plants of the island. The garden is very natural, with wooden bar in the middle, again in a natural way. The only thing is that it is not right next to the sea, but if you have a car, then you will be at the sea in about 4 miniutes. The positive part of not being at the sea directly is that you see only a few tourists when you wake up. I enjoyed Caribbean Chillout Apartments. Thank you for the hospitality Eric and Marloes. Hope to come back soon on your beatifull island. Ab
