Had one of the best night's sleep we had in a long time. The room was quiet and dark. Book the junior suite-the view was worth it. Great breakfast in the morning. Yogurt tasted fresh and local. Get some salami too.

Another Dolada visit with family, and we just had the most wonderful stay. The meal was one of the best I've ever eaten. Riccardo greeted us on arrival and later in the evening concocted a menu based on his foraging activity that morning. Outstanding food and wine, with very attentive service by staff. A good night's sleep was had. Looking forward to returning in October with new guests. Looking forward to trying the hotel honey which is in jars in the reception.

Just spent 2 nights in this little gem of a hotel . We where on a business trip and where lucky enough to visit this location the views over the valleys where stunning . Our room was a junior suit very comfortable , great books and magazines on wine food interiors , I sat at the window and read it was as if time where standing still. The jewel in the crown is the fabulous restaurant .Riccardo the chef prepared the most amazing food I have eaten at a lot of Michelin star restaurants this is up there with the best !

Four of us stayed here for a night on our way to Cortina. The rooms were spacious. The bathrooms were on the small side with the tiny shower often found in such places. Everything was reasonably clean. The staff was very friendly. The real highlight was the restaurant. If they don't have a Michelin star they may as well. The chef is a young man who is at least a 3rd generation cook in this venue. The courses were delicious and well-presented, with a number of extras. It was one of the big highlights of our 3 week holiday.

We stumbled into this valley by chance. The valley itself is lovely and there are enough places to hike, bike or hanglide. It was also the perfect place from where to explore the Southern Dolomites and the Prosecco country. If you’re looking for fantastic views and amazing nature without crowds this is the place to be. Albergo Dolada is a wonderful hotel on the south side of the mountain just above Pieve d'Alpago. We found this hotel on the internet by chance and decided to stay 6 days! We booked the (white) suite which is spacious and has an amazing view of the valley. Although a bit outdated, it was very clean, perfectly equipped (wifi included) and a clean and spatious bathroom as well. A room to feel at home! Maybe the only disadavantage was the bed which was definitely too soft and a bit short for us tall people A lot at Dolada is about the food. The main restaurant is fabulous and boasts a Michelin star. It’s pricey, but totally worth it, we had an amazing dinner and loved the creativity which was put in it as well as the wines and the prosecco. As we were spending more days there, we couldn’t afford to eat everyday at the restaurant, but they also provide a simpler dinner at the albergo itself, although the menu is limited. We were lucky with the weather and had everyday breakfast in the garden. Breakfast was simple, with sweet breads and home made jam but it was also possible to have some eggs and (self made) ham too. Most important, I cannot express well enough how friendly, helpful and courteous everyone was, especially, Benedetta, our hostess. They really made us feel very welcome. All in all, restaurant Albergo Dolada is a pearl in this scenic part of Italy.

We stayed here twice in one week for a total of three nights. The most fantastic location (in winter the drive up could be hairy) with beautiful views over the valleys. We had the white room (a small suite) which was great value at € 130 a night. The staff and family who run it were charming and helpful and the restaurant was excellent. On the downside the restaurant is not open on Monday and you'll have a way to drive to get somewhere that is.
