This hotel was cold and impersonal. Room has a balcony and a pull out clothesline. There was no tea and coffee making facilities in the room.. there was a fridge and air conditioning. It seemed to be set up for conferences or sporting teams. Parking is free. Breakfast was sparse. The restaurant was closed every evening and we asked for a recommendation and were given their sister hotel, a 15 min walk away. There was no bar in the evening and we had to ask for a second glass as there was only one In the room. We had prepaid and were told we needed to pay.. this was upsetting as we knew this was not true..

This hotel deserves 4 definite stars. All clean and spacious rooms. Breakfast - loads to choose from. Thank yo Platinum. Helpful staff, eco friendly environment. Enjoyed our one night that we stayed there. If we had to come back we would stay there.

You certainly get a lot for your money in this place. Our room is huge, more of a suite. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a lounge area with balcony. Very good standard of decor. All the fixtures and fittings are good quality. Mini bar prices are very good. I would certainly recommend this hotel for any kind of stay.

The rooms are clean and beds comfortable but the air conditioning was terrible, drying the air out and making it impossible to sleep. Decor and furniture is cheap. Poor layout in room. E.g.: no bedside phone. Standard wall mounted dispenser and No toiletries in bathroom. The restaurant service was very poor, slow and food terrible. Non English speakers in Restaurant resulted us having half a meal as the 'kitchen was closed'! . No gym, no sauna or steam room. By UK standards This is a simple travel lodge type place which doesn't suit my business travel. Will not be staying here again.

Very nice hotel with fair price to quality relation. Nice room, but lack of free outlets. Comfy bed. Very helpful staff. Good breakfast. Ask for a room close to elevator or walk looking way to your room.

It was really nice to go there for longer weekend. Children enjoyed, both swimming pool (aquapark) and 'kidz fun' room. I liked food, we took HB and it was really tasty- everyone can find something what he/she likes. It's very comfortable that there is possibility to move between hotel and aqua park directly through hotel, no need to go outside. It's not big aqua park but if you want to swim there it is enough space. There were two things which were missing in my opinion: more experienced animators in hotel to play with children and names of dishes served at the buffet would be beneficial.

Room Tip: I would suggest bigger room, like de Lux as it's more space, what is really needed especially...

First of all, the hotel is not easy to find. But, if you manage to arrive, you will be very satisfied from its location. Not far from the lake shore, but with enough distance to not listen to loud music from an amphitheater or loudly crowd sitting on the main promenade. The hotel facilities are new and well organize. The hotel is nicely designed. Rooms and bathrooms are large, very clean with all necessary stuff. Each guest has a free entrance to an Aqua-park, connected with the hotel by the tunnel. The hotel has also SPA and a nice children club with animations. A hotel restaurant offers good choice of food, you can try local specialties here. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Prices compared to quality seem reasonable. If you want to spend few days with children on a beautiful lake, Platinum Hotel in Ostróda is a very good option. Your children will be happy in the Aquapark and the Kids Club, you will have time for sailing or water skiing. Take this challenge!!!

Room Tip: Take the room with a view to a playing field. Much nicer view, than the opposite side.

The kids loved the kids fun zone and the swimming pool. Very good for families. They had during the weekend of 1 of May activities for kids including theatre. The staff was very nice. The hotel is in the city centre very close to the lake. Breakfast buffet with lots of choices, including special buffet for kids

We went there on girls getaway weekend. The hotel wasn't easy to find, but once we got there, all the experiences were really nice. We got huge apartment consisting of two bedrooms, two full size bathrooms and huge living room with a balcony. Everything in the apartment was new and of a good quality. Maybe the beds were a bit too shaky - you know, the kind of a very high mattress that behaves like jelly ;) We got minibar, three TVs; there was a free WI FI in the apartment and of course slippers, bathrobes and come cosmetics. There was a clothes dryer on a balcony but for some strange reason no furniture - the weather wasn't so great so we did not complain, though. The aqua park and the pool are on a smaller side but nice and clean, and even though we are grown ups we enjoyed the lazy river a lot! The breakfast restaurant is big, with enough space and no queues. The food was really nice with lots of choices, nothing to complain about. We did not use the spa although it looked nice. The service was polite and effective. Too bad the setting of a hotel is not too great - it is in the centre of the town, close to a shopping mall but quite far from the lake. It was quiet all around, though. I can see why so many people with kids choose this hotel - there really seems a lot for the small guests to do in the hotel. Definitely reccommend for a short stay, especially that the price was really good for what we got.

Just returned from a three night stay here and we had a great time. We went with our 2 year old and he was entertained during the whole stay. There is an aqua park and kids play zone so u never have to leave hotel.the hotel also provided everything u can think of for children bibs, bottle warmers, baby dressing gowns to name but a few. The restaurant had nice meals at good price. The area of ostroda was not very nice though and during polish holidays probably full of kids. Overall we had a great stay and look forward to returning.
