This bed and breakfast is so much more. To begin with, the rooms and beds are clean and comfortable. Not only is there an excellent breakfast, but dinner is offered too. After a day out in the sun and snow, all of the above are a Godsend. Of course, there are more expensive and luxurious alternatives in the area, but value for money this place is hard to beat. The hostess, Luisa, is charming and truly makes you feel welcome. She is knowledgeable and helpful and makes sure you have a pleasant stay. If you are traveling with kids, there are family rooms that can accommodate up to two parents and three children. If you are not traveling with kids; worry not, the rooms are pretty soundproof and you will not be disturbed. As for location, you are pretty much smack in the middle of the Masella/Molina ski complex, so getting to the slopes is a simple matter. The only thing I would ask for is an earlier breakfast, as 830 makes it difficult to hit the slopes before it gets very crowded.

We are retired in Barcelona and decided to go for a day of skiing in La Molina in Cerdanya in the Catalan Pyrenees- a little less than a 3 hour train ride from Barcelona. We found this little 7-room hotel researching a place to stay and decided to try it. We are glad we did. It's a cozy chalet with a mountain/Tyrolian theme, and each room is named after a famous peak. Our room was in keeping with the mountain decorating theme and was very clean and comfortable. There is a warm and welcoming living room with a nice fire which encourages the guests to sit together, and we struck up many interesting conversations. There is also a bar service in the living room where you can order tea in the afternoon or drinks or coffee after dinner. For an additional charge, you have the choice of having dinner prepared by Maria Lluisa, the owner, and her very attentive assistant in the hotel dining room. We stayed two nights, and the food was delicious. This is a wonderful place for those who don't need elite restaurants, clubs and shopping centers. La Molina is basically just a ski station with a few restaurants and hotels and little night life. In addition the hotel is away from the "center" of the town, and you will need a taxi to get around if you don't have your own car. One of the best things about Niu dels Falcons is the owner, Maria Lluisa. She is a warm and attentive host. Always checking if we had all we needed. We noticed that some of the guests were repeat customers which we feel is always a good sign. On our last day there, the taxi driver stood us up, and Maria Lluisa didn't hesitate to drive us to the train station so we could make our train. She has certainly made us repeat customers.

You couldn't make this place up, it's like Santa's grotto. The rooms are minimalist but very clean & cute. The living room is so cosy & warm. The breakfast is really good too. Most importantly Lluisa who is the owner is a wonderful women, very caring & kind. Can't wait to go back!

This little gem is of the beaten path in La Molina, Spain. It is a little hard to find because it is of the main roads. But that is the best part. You actually get some solitude. Louisa the owner is endearing and gracious host. The food she prepares is in the very tradition of the region. I don't normally like duck. But I am definitely a fan of Louisa's duck recipe.

My wife and I spent a night in La Molina and decided to stay at Niu dels Falcons because it is pet-friendly. We were pretty happy with our choice: location is good, 5 mns by car before the town center, the place is well kept and very clean and the owner was very nice and friendly.

- hard to find even with new navigation system - "offroad access" - best you have a 4-wheeler or a dirt bike to go there - not well maintained ouside area - very small rooms and service rooms - Our "tree course dinner" of the day consists of a small salad as starter half sliced tomato with two slices of white cheese and bread as hot dish and a piece of non fresh looking creme cake (24€ each). Glass of wine (open) 4€. Incredible. - Breakfast was nearly acceptable - Even the overnight charge was 45€ for a double - Never ever again - (Medium aged couple, individual international travelers, medium segmented requirements)

This chalet is fantastic if you have a car to take you to the slopes. Run by Louisa who cooks, cleans and makes sure you are relaxed and welcome. The evening meal is at 8.30ish which was too late for our children and they pulled out all stops to feed them at 6 and discuss with us what they would like. We were then able to relax with our friends in the lounge knowing the children were shouting distance away. Very accomodating. Very basic English spoken.
