The house itself was built in the early part of the 20th century and has belonged to the same family for 130 years. The house is full of family mementoes and period furniture. All of this contributes to the friendly, family atmosphere, full of charm and tradition. The house's idyllic setting in the well-preserved, tranquil, traditional village makes it ideal for a relaxing, restorative break, far from the cares, worries, stresses and strains of modern life.
Willa Greta is a beautiful place with history. Comfortable, spacious rooms, beautifully decorated, referring to the history of the place. Insane food. Great neighborhood. The location of Villa Greta allows for countless mountain trips. All these factors make it a perfect place for a family stay.

Great place to relax for a few days, with good entertainment for kids. Even walking around, that we didn't expect much, was quite fun, we saw deers, rabbits, chickens, ducks, cows, horses... Food was good, the rooms were comfortable (basically just to sleep). I am sure I will be back To be improved: Breakfast could have more fruits and yogurts. Thank you for the great weekend

Villa Greta is on a lane in the centre of the Community of Dobkow. Kris and Evalena - the owners - are so welcoming. The Villa is in fact a converted courtyard of farm buildings that has been in the family for many years. It looks beautiful, and you can park with ease and safety. It is very much a family guest house. One vaulted room serves as the restaurant for both lunch, dinner and breakfast, all of which were excellent. Its rooms are spacious and comfortable, with their own bathrooms; all look out over either the courtyard, the village, or the countryside. They sell local produce, and are a mine of information for geotourism in the area. NB It is very much countryside so no noisy tvs in the rooms and 'slow food' from local produce. We loved it!! An absolute MUST if you are in the area.…

lovely warm welcome, spotless, most attractive hotel and rooms, good to see many local products including wine and rocks (!). Evalena and Chris--what an enterprising couple and all that they have initiated/ worked on in the small village of Dobkow. Made Dave and myself go home to try harder!

We stopped there on strong recommendation from my sister and what a wonderful afternoon we had. Kids were playing happily on really well designed playground (just what you need, big sandpit with a large truck, great zip wire, swings etc.) while we sat outside reading the menu or chatting to very friendly owners about the interesting history of the house. Then we went inside to eat and everything was just delicious! The owners pride themselves with not only restoring this lovely house to its best but also that they provide their food as healthy and local as possible. There was an interesting selection of non alcoholic drinks made on a base of local herbs or plants that I have never tried before. Kids loved their raspberry compote. The celeriac soup was top notch as well as anything else we ordered including desert. After the meal we went outside again and wondered to the bench at the top of a little hill behind restaurant and watched the sun go down as well as some deer wondering on nearby peaceful fields. It is just such a calming place. We are looking forward to go back and this time hopefully stay there for a few days! …

I visited restaurant in Pensjonat Villa Greta together with my boss to show him taste of polish food, and we were not disappointed. It was really worth it to drive a specially from highway to this place. Food was perfect not comparable to any food on highway. We were positive surprised to meet English speaking person and English menu. Really I recommend this place. P.S. Should be more restaurants like this.

Very welcoming owner and staff who were all extremely helpful. There is a very relaxed atmosphere with an honesty bar. The food is all freshly prepared and delicious, with a set meal each evening if you order it in the morning. Breakfasts are generous and varied. Our room was large and comfortable. A lot of families with children stay here, at least during the summer holidays, but they were not obtrusive in any way and it was very peaceful and quiet at night. There is lots to see and do in the surrounding area, including some lovely hill-walking

This guesthouse in Silesia in the far Southwest of Poland is one of the nicest I have experienced. It represents exceptional value, with lovely rooms and overall atmosphere, and its location in a beautiful rural village. It is a little out of the way: we wouldn't have known about it without the assistance of Polish friends, but it is worth the effort in finding it. The young, enthusiastic owners are very eager to please and are happy to sit down and have a drink with you (especially the local beers) and regale you with tales about the villa or the local area. The restaurant incorporated in the guesthouse is also of an excellent standard. Many of the ingredients are sourced from the villa garden or local stocks. The wild mushroom soup is to die for!. Villa Greta is an exceptional place to stay and I would be amazed to hear of anyone who left it without being enriched by their experience.…
