What travelers are saying
- Sandra EssexPuerto Vallarta, Mexico5 contributionsMy husband and I loved the tour, the wine (especially the Mafefa Rosso and the San Miniatello), and the wonderful story of the family and the vineyard. We also sampled the olive oil and took home some of it too. Fabio did an outstanding job explaining the wines while we tasted. We have done many wine tastings and tours but this one was by far the best. This venture is clearly a product of love and passion. We will return.Written June 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- JJJC_FamilyVirginia810 contributionsI have seen many great viewing points in Italy and elsewhere and this rightfully belongs on that list. Indeed, I had read it was very nice and the desk clerk at our hotel said it was the best thing in town to see ( actually, the only thing worth seeing, according to him, but I disagree on that. Several worthwhile places, actually. ), So I was prepared for a pleasant experience. What I got was a stunning 360 panorama that seem to stretch forever. It was lovely and enchanting. Truly one of the best in Italy. One of those times when Rick Steves hit it on the nail. So if you can squeeze a few hours for a side trip, or even an hour, it's worth making a detour here or even if you are going to Pisa or Lucca from Florence, it makes an excellent pit stop. And while there supplement your viewing experience with a run up the very nearby Torre di Matilde. While a tad less impressive than Federico, if it were the only tower in town you would still be supremely satisfied. Together, they give you a fairly comprehensive look see of the surrounding area and from slightly different angles.
This gets my top tier recommendation ( admittedly a fairly large and growing tier the more I travel ). I have absolutely no doubt you will be glad you made the time to visit this gem and all that this compact town has to offer.Written September 14, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Maria kindly guided us through each step of the preparation as she told us more about the food. All of us were able to participate as much or as little as we wanted. After all of of our work in the kitchen was done, we gathered in the dining room to enjoy the food and to taste some of their wine. What an experience!!!
I highly recommend a visit to Cosimo Maria Masini if you are in Tuscany. And, I hope to return one day myself.Written July 28, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is a quiet place - on top of a hill - the views it offers are magnificent.Written March 16, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JJJC_FamilyVirginia810 contributionsIf you are in San Miniato, of course you will see this and you will enjoy it. After you have seen many, many cathedrals and particularly the great ones, this may seem a bit mundane, but it is still a very pleasant place to sit and experience.Written September 14, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Phayao13Stockholm, Sweden3,855 contributionsReally decorated church that offers a quiet calm
Due to changes made over the centuries, while the interior is mostly in baroque style with pink marble columns and a decoratively painted ceiling.Written May 25, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. They make excellent wines here and have some very interesting wines too. They have ancient vines of Tempranillo that were likely planted by folks traveling the Via Francigena, pilgrimage route from Spain. We loved the wine and meeting Leonardo and Eva. We visited uncountable number of highly recommended wineries throughout Tuscany for a two week visit there. This is our first review. This winery produces excellent Sangiovese and many other grapes and blends.Written July 13, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SakuKimLos Cristianos, Spain304 contributionsVery nice views from the Fattoria di San Quintino. There is a nice wine shop and wine tasting room to visit and spend some time to understand the products and the family history.
Try the Chianti and the Vermentino, both very nice as well as other wines. Don’t recommend for families with children. There are no activities for children on site. No rooms for rent.Written February 27, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
