- Julia OShetland Islands, UK30 contributionsWe were staying next door in the Hotel Grand Tequise but I was never tempted by the pools after swimming af this beach on our first day. In fact, I bought a snorkel and swam nearly every day observing the amazing variety of wildlife beneath the waves. The only days I didn't swim the waves were crashing in. The beach is protected by a breakwater and is usually calm and clear waters. There is a lifeguard most of the day with an advisory flag system in place. The only downside is it can get busy when the local dive centre is training groups here, but I floated around them!Written February 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We were there for less than an hour and thought we'd missed some of it when we got to the end. Would recommend for families with very small children who perhaps want somewhere to entertain them for a little while.Written March 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BrucestewartLivingston, UK9,764 contributionsHaving just had lunch we decided to go for a stroll along the Playa de las Cucharas in order to burn off a few calories. The promenade is well paved so the going is pretty easy. A nice way to spend half an hour or so.Written February 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- James_SamDerby, UK431 contributionsVisited Costa Teguise staying at Hotel Vitalclass. Nice apartment type hotel with large airy rooms, kitchens with electric hobs and fridge/freezer. Large bathrooms with walk-in shower. Pool air surrounded by sun beds. Not too busy. Restaurant food selections reasonable with something for everyone. A walk of around 30 minutes into the heart of Costa Teguise. Staff very friendly and always willing to help.Written November 10, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kay WSedbergh, UK310 contributionsVery popular spot at the weekends with locals. There are little walled areas to give shelter if it’s windy. Showers to wash the salt water off…. Lots of fish to see in lovely clean water … & old lava tunnels can be seen on the rocky foreshoreWritten September 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Shimmy192Doncaster, UK387 contributionsVisited Costa Teguise since 2005 and only recently taken up golf, so had to try this place to experience it and get the tee shirt:)
Paid 40 euro for a twilight session, hired clubs and a buggy, bought some balls- totalled £82-not Euro.
Ended up behind a Spaniard with his son- not wearing proper attire in that they had crew necked t-shirts on! They started OK then began to hit 2-3 balls off the tee- constantly slowing everyone up-painful. I put some pressure on them to try and speed them up- only to be asked to make a 4 ball- my wife there as the buggy driver so politely refused. Consequently only managed 16 holes before 6pm & darkness.
Upon club hire you are given a scruffy 7 iron- for the lava he said. So you need this iron for when you miss the fairway since there is no rough merely granulated lava where you have to take your shots. Strange- well wait for this one- upon approaching the green- our favourite obstacle, The Bunker is filled with the same granulated lava- unreal and an experience to say the least.
Fairways were varied and contained some patches between fairways with lava gravel filling in these patches/gaps!
Tee boxes can only be described as fairly good condition. However, the Greens were quite bumpy and consequently did not run true.
Scenery with the course being on the hillside was fantastic- viewing the harbour, parts of Arrecife and Costa Teguise.
Give it a go - staff are friendly- get the tee shirt lol (Great to play in Winter when its freezing back home-wind your pals up).Written January 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We went as a family and love experiencing new things. You will have to pay for the car park which covers the whole day
Don't bother with the leather belts that are made of a mixture of carboard which just fall apart after the second wear - apart from that it is nice to enjoy. Scenic and relatively quiet compared to the rest of the resort and the main beach.Written November 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
