One of the most beautiful places on earth. Biking, hiking, kayaking, camping, touring a lighthouse, climbing the Eagle Tower, so many things to do!

Love this theater. Arrive early to enjoy the water view and sunset. There are places to sit and snacks and a bar fir having a drink while you wait for the show. Setting is amazing. Love the open air of the theater

Northern Sky is known for its Badger State-centered subject matter set to catchy songs presented in a family-friendly style. The 2023 offering of "Cheeseheads - The Musical" is no exception.

The storyline, which loosely follows the true tale of lottery-winning cheese makers, will get every toe tapping. Even out-of-staters will be singing "proud to be a cheeshead."

The theater setting is pure Door County woodsy elegance, enhanced by new restroom facilities. A huge improvement!!!

Also, there is shuttle service for those with mobility issues.

This reviewer has been attending Northern Sky with his family, including two young grandchildren, for several years. The 2023 edition of this fine theatrical troupe did not disappoint.

We took our dog along for this hike, and we all had a good time! That being said, there were many tricky parts. We had to maneuver over and around rocks, and there were other slippery spots. We saw a woman fall on the rocks in the shallow water along the shoreline due to algae -- she lost her footing. Come prepared and know what you're capable of... then you'll be fine. It was very humid the day we hiked, and we drank a lot of water. I highly recommend downloading a trail app on your phone so you can see where you are on the trail in real time.

Beautiful surroundings in the area. Very interesting history given by the staff. Lots of stairs to climb if you choose to do the whole inside tour.

Once again, being off-season, there were no crowds or difficulty in parking.
On this visit, the ice was still somewhat intact; so it was interesting watching the water trying to break through and emerge from winter. Water or ice, the sunsets (and views anytime), are impressive and engrossing.

Rainy weekend for a girls’ trip to DC. So we looked for some inside options and found The Gould Theater. Then the hard part, choosing a play; so many sounded great! We looked to Trip Advisor and saw several more details. Finally flipped a coin and chose Guys on Ice. And we were NOT disappointed!! The show was WELL written, wonderfully performed, and we enjoyed it immensely! (One of our favorite parts- the “half time show”. Great improv and so fun!!)
We only wished we would have had more time to see more of their shows!
GREAT event to add to your DC visit, certainly! Money well spent ;) We will make time to come back next opportunity we get to visit Door County! Hardest part will again be which venue and which play!!

The note at the top of this page that says “This location was reported permanently closed” needs to go away! The tower was closed in 2016 and dismantled, but a new tower was built on the same site and it opened in 2021. The new Eagle Tower is the third on the site since 1914 and cost $3.5 million. Funding for this project came from partnerships with the state legislature, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, and the Friends of Peninsula State Park. The Tower is 60 feet tall and is located atop a bluff, where it offers panoramic views of the park, surrounding islands, the Upper Michigan shoreline, and the village of Ephraim. The top observation deck sits 253 feet above Green Bay. A major upgrade of the new tower is that as an alternative to climbing 100 stairs to get to the top, there is now an alternate route involving an 850-foot, accessible canopy walk which winds above the treeline to the top of the tower. The angle of the ramp never exceeds a five percent slope and visitors rest on benches provided at level spots along the way.

Sharing Wendy's energy at her gallery is the best part of the experience. I met her in Guatemala and her inspiration and the way she translates her soul to her imaginarium in all her pieces is so beautiful and calming. You have to pass by if you are close!
