- Holly KAuckland, New Zealand18 contributionsHuge mall with some awesome discounted retailers. Getting Levi’s jeans for about $25 is hard to beat. The mall is a confusing layout so that’s one thing to be aware of. No trains service it either, if you’re staying in Sydney CBD you’ll have to catch a bus and walk from the stop up to the shops.Written February 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - fatbear2000Oxford, UK4,121 contributionsThe Drummoyne Oval is a pretty ground which is the home of Sydney Cricket Club, who we watched play in the semi-finals of Sydney’s one-day knockout competition. It also hosts matches for the NSW Women team, the NSW mens team occasionally play here, and the touring England Lions recently hammered a NSW select XI here.
There is a small concrete stand at one end ( the Greg Davis Stand, named after the captain of Australia’s Rugby Union side in the 1960’s who played for the Drummoyne Rugby club, who also play here in the Australian winter ), a small player’s pavilion on one side, a quirky old fashioned small stand with around 250 seats, and then there are grass banks around the rest of the oval.
There are 6 floodlight pylons, TV gantries at both ends, as well as a large scoreboard in the far corner by a very large tree.
When we visited there was a small food & drinks outlet open in the side of the Greg Davis stand, with cans of beer or glasses of wine for 5 AUD, and soft drinks for 3 AUD. There were also what looked to be pies and sausage rolls available.
Entrance to the oval was free for this match, with a small number of people sitting on the grass bank, with everyone else in the Greg Davis stand.Written February 25, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We were very happy with our visit. Its a nice local pool, with lap lanes for serious swimmers and splash lanes for the not so serious (me!). They also had a childs wading pool. We left around 5:30pm and it was still open, though half the pool was divided for some activity.
I'd recommend visiting! It would also be a great way to cool down after doing the Bay Run as its on the route!Written January 8, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Scott_No_MatesSydney125 contributionsThis place is Christmas heaven - such a wide variety of Christmas lights and pop-ups as well as for all the other special occasions.
Although the Christmas lights were out (lots of solar solutions), there were plenty of options available for Halloween etc to choose from.Written June 18, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. From start to finish, the booking with Dave, deposit, emails and arrangements were perfect! In line with other operator costings, Dave was very accommodating with dietary requirements and that we didn't drink loads, the food BBQ and drinks were exactly what we wanted! Good Skippering, cook and local guide, you can't ask for more than that! Perfect way to introduce Sydney harbour and the bridge to your family, well worth booking ahead, commendations to Dave and the crew, very enjoyable day trip, will definitely recommend to others !Written March 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Frank FAustralia5 contributionsWe joined Esra and Julie for the Beginners Resin Cheeseboard & Coasters Workshop earlier this afternoon, the space was AC cooled and we were served with light refreshments. The teachers were patient and provided us with all the required materials. We made a few mistakes but nothing the talented teachers weren't able to fix. All in all, we had a great time, would come again.Written March 11, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
