What travelers are saying
- DonnaScarborough District, UK14 contributionsLovely to see sighting of the Owl.
After a very slow walk due to all the ice and snow it was great to get toasty again in the cafe. Excellent toasted teacake and a cuppa.Written December 7, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The lady on the tills in the gift shop was very friendly, and so was the staff around the park due to the rain we couldn’t see the horses ect. But just seeing the animals in cages was just as much a good experience, I went with nephew plenty of things for him to see!!.Written March 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - johnhouston2Knaresborough, UK5,258 contributionsWith the attractive structure of the lighthouse and the wonderful clifftop walks that are to be had, this area is always worth a visit - even on a miserable, cold December day!Written December 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - castle1_10Leeds, UK1,345 contributionsIt’s a cold February day and ventured to North Land just to see what it’s about.
Easy to get there even by bus from Bridlington.
Ok we entered the car park never actually noticed the ampr cameras had you coming in going out … I had a quick glance and thought that looks a nice cove.
Driving out we took second thoughts and returned to park up …. Well it’s pay by card the machine won’t take a pound coin … so we had a hour here.
Needless to say the winds blowing a bit, but the steep small winding road that leads to the beach is worth the moan and groan.
Some top beach sand here in the cove with small type caves on both sides of the cliffs.
Old lifeboat station that will serve snacks come the summer season.
Well impressed here
I just think humberside council are cheeky charging on the 1st week of February when we visited … plus only one other car here.
So back to the beach views … recommend 100%.Written February 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MiserableMyrtleUnited Kingdom61 contributionsSo glad I decided to visit this hidden gem. It was well sign posted and stands in a pretty square. Upon entry you are greeted by friendly and helpful volunteers and are then left to wonder round at your leisure. Many interesting things to see and the stained glass window is fab. There is also a lovely little gift shop with some lovely momentous.Written March 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - johnhouston2Knaresborough, UK5,258 contributionsAlthough both archway gates were closed, which means that the museum is also closed, this building is well worth an exterior look.
The Bayle (which comes from the French “Baile” meaning enclosure or ward) dates to the late12th century and in addition to being a gatehouse to the Priory, has been used as a military and residential building.
It has also housed a museum since 1928.Written December 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Fabulous views from the top, we then walked down to the beach, lovely rock formations and a small cave. Would have explored more along the cliff top paths but very muddy after recent extreme wet weather.Written October 31, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
