What travelers are saying
- Cathy MCherry Hill, NJ194 contributionsWent for a Thursday evening of music and wine outdoors. The Jersey Peach wine was a peachy summer treat after all Jersey peaches are the best. Friends had other wines a favorite being a white blend. Wine and music a relaxing experience.Written August 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- KatrinkaKateevusMitchellville, MD12 contributionsWe've stopped here twice, five years apart, because in between we forgot where it was! I'm so glad we remembered! This place is gold! Everything from the farm is fresh and carefully curated -- I bought ingredients for ratatouille here, as I intended. Then I couldn't resist buying a few more zucchini, another eggplant, some gorgeous white peaches, some impossibly beautiful tomatoes (so fresh they lasted for more than a week on the counter!!!), and of course some Jersey white corn. Whatever is in season, get it here! The family is so friendly, too. I mentioned my first visit during my second, and explained we'd lost track of the name, but we remembered. "Oh," said the woman at the checkout, "I must tell my aunt!" And she gave me a card, so I'd have no excuse not to come back. As if.....! Worth a detour on your way between New York and Baltimore, or Philadelphia and Atlantic City, or just about anywhere!Written November 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Joe CMullica Hill, NJ378 contributionsOverall very well done. I would recommend A Night of Terror for anyone local looking for a little Halloween fun. The hayride and mazes were very good.Written October 23, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- amy mWilliamstown, NJ90 contributionsEverything here was very nicely organized and displayed. I don't want to say it's for serious collector's only - the staff was very pleasant and welcoming - but I knew right away that this would be a "looking" adventure, not a "buying" one. Furniture. Quilts. Art. Taxidermy. Folk art. Well worth the visit even if only to look around.Written July 7, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - podrozniczka60New Jersey14,840 contributionsFor us it is now mainly a produce farm. Coronatimes had an impact on their operations like on other businesses. In the past we would visit during apple picking season. We like their fresh locally grown produce and bakery goods. Their u-pick orchards are especially popular with the visitors. Nowadays you have to make appointments on line for particular time slots. We are planning to go again mid -August for the sunflower opening.Written July 17, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sherry HLevittown, PA221 contributionsThis store is a treasure trove. The customer service is impeccable!! We spent about 2 hours just wandering around and reminiscing. So many great items. Made quite a few purchases, from vintage women's hankies to Ocean City NJ beach tags and vintage postcards...one from 1907!!
We will definitely be back another time!!Written February 1, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Excellent music, music trivia and enough albums to distract any music lover. Brightly lit, clean and has a bathroom. It’s located in a church basement, and it feels homey.Written August 15, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Justin WHasbrouck Heights, NJ3,734 contributionsI got to visit the Harrison Township Historical Society as a last minute visit. The guys working there kept the place open for me as there was another event on the grounds. it is such a well maintained museum.
On the ground floor there was a very interesting exhibition about a tornado that hit the area last year during Hurricane Ida. It was the first tornado to hit the town in 40 years. There was also a set up of an old school, a general store and a small gift shop. On the top floor, there was an exhibition of Native American artifacts, a large exhibition on the local farming industry, life on the farm and a simulated Post Office that had been saved by the town.
This little museum is packed with artifacts, small displays and interesting signage. They do a wonderful job keeping visitors engaged with the history of the town. Don't miss this wonderful museum.Written November 1, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
