If ever in Fort Pierce, FL, this is a must. Follows the history of the Seals from inception to today. Never realized how many operations they have been involved in. And for real fun, try some of the training equipment they have outside. A real eyeopener and very well done.

There is ample parking necessary in season. The entrance is at the end of a path, much like some Cape Cod beaches. There are only buildings in the distance. It tends to separate into heterosexuals on the right and homosexuals on the left. At times there are some unusual people there just looking around. Because it is a clothing optional beach there are those who feel really uninhibited. I would recommend staying near the main groups.

Took a boat tour of the Indian River Lagoon offered by FAU's Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute-what a great experience! These are research scientists working on studying and preserving the ecosystem sharing their knowledge with the public. Very educational and so much fun! Right out of the harbor a pod of dolphins swam by! Made the whole trip worthwhile. I had never seen how a remote operated vehicle works underwater and the guide, who was a scientist working at the University, demonstrated for us. Impressive to see the technology in action! I can't wait to go again.

Beautiful! Be careful driving in and out, as there are turtles crossing the road, which was awesome to see. :)

Jetty Park is well maintained and popular enough to have limited parking available by mid-day. The restaurant was closed for renovation when we were there but there's a resort/hotel with a good, moderately priced restaurant/bar
within a a 10-15 minute walk from Jetty Park. And, there are camping spaces available there.

I love all aquariums, from the world's largest examples filled with sharks and dolphins, to small ones containing tanks with aquatic species barely large enough to see. St. Lucie County Aquarium is one of the latter, but don't be fooled by its diminutive size- there's lots to see here, and it's made better by an engaging staff that wants you to see and learn about everything contained within. I made the mistake of visiting on a Saturday morning when the place was packed (making it mildly difficult to move around and get up close to the tanks) but I made the best of it, and hope to return in the future when it's less crowded.

Learned a lot about the manatees from volunteer Evelyn who was on observation duty on the deck.
She had us go in to speak with George about where else we might be able to see manatees.
Though a couple of manatee did swim by we were not fortunate enough to see them

A little oasis in the middle of Ft Pierce. We had a relaxing time and learned about bonsai and butterflies. Highly recommended, especially if you bring children.

First time visitors from northern NY. Very impressed. Megan greeted us with a genuine smile and was very helpful without being pushy. You can absolutely tell she loves her job. Live music was fun also

large beach with ample parking. Beach is clean and has facilities a short walk from the ocean. Mixed age beach but haven't experienced any riff riff.....yet. Let's hope it stays that way. I would like to see more police presence just as a deterrent too illicit behaviour .

Al and crew were so kind, service was top notch! Their produce fresh and delicious! Can't wait to try the key lime pie we bought to bring home as well. We stopped for a quick lunch at the grill and it was ready quickly and tasted great. We'll definitely stop by again!

Small museum worthy of a visit to learn about Backus and his influence on the Highwaymen artists of Florida. Well displayed and informative descriptions. Nice area of Fort Pierce.
