- 🏴Bob’s My UncleScotland59 contributionsWe live locally and have done for years but have only recently visited. It's a hidden gem. Not particularly big compared with some gardens but absolutely beautiful and a great place to spend a couple of hours wandering about and enjoying something from the cafe. We plan to visit again this week to see the snowdrops and will likely be regular visitors from now on.Written February 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LeahOrkney Islands, UK15 contributionsWhile visiting the Perth area, we wanted to take the children to the play park. South Inch had a fantastic play area. There were lots of things to climb, swing, slide, spin and more. Suitable from 18 months and up. Would be suitable for children with some disabilities as there was some easily access equipment with wide platforms and low steps. Equipment looked well maintained. Lovely surroundings and enjoyed a lovely stroll around the park. There was even a duck pond!!
It was disappointing that such a busy park even in October there were no public toilets near by which resulted in bushes. 🙄 Parking was a walk away in a pay and display car parkWritten October 21, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. If you enjoy the outdoors but like to stay on the path, this is the place to be. Several lovely paths lead you across the park on Kinnoull Hill, through a light forest. On the south-western cliff, there is a small castle ruin - the lone Kinnoull Hill Tower - which overlooks the beautiful meandering River Tay to the south of town.
Kinnoull Hill is worth an afternoon or morning's walk. You can take along a small picnic to share with friends and family in the beautiful Scottish sunshine.Written June 14, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Downloaded the map and enjoyed a stroll along the river and in the parkland spotting all the sculptures. Our dog enjoyed a paddle in the river too. We had a picnic on the benches in the park. Great views of the bridges. recommend as something to do with your 4 legged friend in Perth.Written June 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alikat2Perth, UK15 contributionsWonderful garden you must explore well kept very relaxing and a few surprising plants grown here, please read the plaques they have a lot of information. The viewing platform by the river is a hotspot for kingfishers and salmon/trout sightings with some beaver activity. You can walk right around from the gardens to the allotments up over the rail bridge and back round again, one of my favourite places in PerthWritten February 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mumsthwrd3Bearsden, UK35 contributionsMarianne and Robin have created a place where every detail is aimed at a peaceful, refreshing and healing experience. I came along for a retreat organised by my church, but hope to return on my own again. The rooms are comfortable, the grounds well-tended and everything is lovingly kept in lovely condition. Spiritual nourishment is found here...Whether you know what you're looking for or not.Written November 5, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ord737foWest Palm Beach, FL255 contributionsNice pl;ace for a walk. Pretty hilly but doable. Lots of nice scenic lookouts over the city with the ever present sheep in the foreground. You can turn left at any point and shorten tour walk to the distance you want it to be. Which is nice. - Jeanette14 contributionsWe were going to Perth Races and found this little gem for a picnic before we went. The picnic benches are right next to a car park and there is a lovely cafe nearby where hot drinks, cakes and snacks can be purchased. The volunteers at the cafe were so friendly and helpful.
A hidden gem that I would highly recommend.Written May 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
