This is a gem of a place. We stayed in a beautiful bnb right on the water with the most incredible view. U Catuio, just amazing. Incredible maze of streets, great little restaurants, beach beautiful but you need reef shoes!! Plenty of rocks, but the clear turquoise water is worth it. A great place to chill and just take in the views. Don't forget to visit the local fashion designer on the main strip for a unique piece of handmade clothing to take home. Highly recommended. We stayed 3 nights at the end of a 2 week stint in Sicily. Loved it.

Beautiful castle, beautiful surroundings and views. Fee 2 euros. Some cool and shady places. Toilettes. I recommend you to visit if you like old sights.

The best place in town to relax and watch the scenery. Well standing on this piazza it's important to reflect back on the earthquake in on February 6, 1783. The earthquake triggered a massive landslide that completely erased this City from the map. It also killed 1000 people on in around the beach after triggering a massive tsunami.

Scilla is a very cute town. It is small like a village. There is a mixture of old houses and new, but nothing way too modern that stands around the shore. There are lots of small and local restaurants that serve seafood. Also the traditional "lido" where you rent the beach chair and they have a bar where you can buy drinks and snacks.
We really enjoyed the trolling around, lounging at the beach and checking the restaurants.
Afternoon sunset is beautiful by the beach. If you want to experience a small sea Italian village without the rush of the big touristic areas, Scilla is perfect.

Wonderful simple food very tasty and fresh, with attentive service and best sword fish in town at a very resonable price.
A must lunch especially if you are staying on the beach nearby, a very beautiful and inexpensive beach with 10 euro per 2 sun beds & umbrella.
Very central location with beautiful view to the sea.
    Highly recommended.

Beautiful facade adjacent to the Castle. While there are certainly no shortage of churches this one does stand out.

This small lighthouse is actually part of the castle and you can't get to it without paying your €1.50 to get into the castle - which is certainly worth it. Next to the lighthouse is the WW2 signalling station, presumably used to signal Sicily, across the Straits of Messina.

Despite there being tons of open chairs and umbrellas at 11 am they were “full” and had no space for us. We walked further along the beach to the next private beach spot and they happily gave us a nice umbrella and 2 chairs for a couple hours for 10 euro.

It was a beautiful church. It was under renovation when we went so that was a bit distracting with all of the scaffolding, but I was glad to see they are preserving it.
