Hello everyone,I am Tommy and I live in Lashio.First,Lashio is a very interesting place. You should go to Taung Paw Payar,And Naan Hinn Wun Park.
Taung Paw Payar is up on the mountain.Once you reach the top,you will see Workout machines.i.e. Chin Ups,Tread Mills and so on.And if you prefer to walk you can take the left route,It has a lot of stairs and it really feels good to be up on the pagoda. It is filled with breeze,Clear Skies and so on.And At Nann Hinn Wun Park,You can have fun there. There are Pirates of the Caribbean Ship.Where you pay some money and then the conductor starts the generator. You should have a good grip.Because it swings back and forth high up in the air.And then there's a Ski Field.Where it is made of concrete. And at the far north there is a beer pub and Independence Monument.I would also recommend Shan-Kai swimming pool.It is located at the out skirts of lashio.Once you go out of lashio you will have to pass a bus station, bank,A Bakery and a police patrol.(Don't worry,The police will not check there is only some road blocks where you can just Manuver around it.After you go a few miles there will be a Small bill board that says shang-kai.Which takes about 11 miles. You just have to drive straight through the route.Once you reach there it is very beautiful. It has 3 feet,4 feet,7 feet and 8 feet deep locations. the 3 feet will be surrounded with steel bars.and the 4 feet deep is out-side the steel bars. The 7 feet will be past the Fountain.(which is right in the middle and last but not least the 8 feet will be at the furthest. If you don't want to take a dip,you can go in the temple feed the fish and it is very fun.So logging of now, until next-time,Tommy

This Paya is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. If you take a trip to Lashio, you must come to see.
If you areive to Lashio in the evening, you will see it to your left when you arrive to the town. Lit up in all it's glory.
It is amazing to walk around and view the many Buddhas spaced in a circle in the main building.
There is also a MASSIVE Mway (snake) Paya walking distance from the main pagoda.
Massive amounts of parking and all are set in very lovingly created gardens that sweep up and down around both places.
Early morning and late at night are both excellent times to go and visit.

This glorious golden haven of peace just a few minutes from the town centre is pure heaven. Peace and calm prevail. Inside the main temple are 48 huge paintings of the life events of the Buddha and the walls have similar though less attractive paintings. The areas outside is large and expansive with a wonderful large sized Buddha statue inside a coiled snake - a magnificent piece of work. There is gold everywhere and a large bronze bell and many smaller statues to admire around the main temple. There are a number of outlets nearby for drinks, food and souvenirs. This is pure heaven and so peaceful!

I was expecting to see same same but different which of course it was as a temple can only be soo different. However, it has murals about buddha which were not just pictures they were the story. They were so well done I was absolutely amazed. I can't remember how many there are but they were all made to look like 3D.
That's one place I'm glad I didn't miss.
There are quite a few benches where you can just sit and enjoy the peace (there were only a couple of people there when I visited) and the view.
Unfortunately, as Lashio is not really touristy there was nothing in English.
