OPEN FOR THE SPRING! Guess who's back... and badder than ever! We are open for the 2020 season, and now running our crazy “Off Road” experience in addition to our “High Speed” karting! Our hours change from season to season, so please visit www.GForceKarts.com for hours, pricing and more. In Spring 2019, we moved from our long time home on Carolina Avenue to an outdoor Karting track located on the grounds of Richmond Raceway Complex, known simply as "HIGH SPEED!" This crazy intense outdoor karting track is more than twice as long as our older indoor track, with karts that go as fast as 60 MPH! Our new home for “High Speed” karting is at 800 E. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA 23222 - Gate 2. In the Spring of 2020, we opened our new “OFF ROAD” experience, featuring Polaris RZR racing on a dirt track (also on the grounds of the Richmond Raceway Complex). This experience is like nothing else in Richmond!

G-Force Go Karts was fun, however it was a little expensive. They charge by the race. One race can last about 10 minutes. I believe they offer discounts for groups or membership discounts, but its still a little expensive. I would still however go back and do it again. Great for kids.

My son loves this place and we get Groupons and Living Social to go more often. I brought some of his friends with us and they had a great time. One of his friends had a birthday party here! Also, our Boy Scout troop had an outing here. LOTS OF FUN!

My husband was the host of an out of town bachelor party and had planned weeks in advance to come to this location as the main event, even verifying their hours the night before by calling the staff. However, much to the group's dismay, they were closed when they arrived. Upon calling the establishment, the staff was courteous and apologetic about the situation, and even alerted the owner about the dilemma. While the guys still didn't get to go-cart, the owner personally called my husband to apologize and offered a free ride ticket for every member of the party to return another day, which they are greatly looking forward to. This is how you run a business and keep customers, folks. Such amazing customer service, even in the midst of a mix-up! We will definitely be frequenting this establishment whenever we're in town!

Brittany, Thank you so much for the wonderful review about our customer service! We apologize for the mix up, but we are pleased we could make things right and we appreciate your kind words. We look forward to seeing the boys back at G-Force for their race. Respectfully, The Team at G-Force Karts

We took 15 kids there Saturday night for "unlimited lazer tag" for 20 a kid after 7 pm. Needless to say it was impossible to get them in there a third time. Not a place I would go again, more of a tourist trap. They came out ahead on that deal for about a half hour of entertainment when it was all said and done.

Thank you for your honest review! Feedback from customers is critical to our business, and we appreciate you taking the time to let us know how we're doing. We certainly are not a tourist trap. We've been in business for 13 years and pride ourselves on offering great options and packages to customers, both locally and from out of town. Since your group only played 2 games please let us refund the difference you paid between two games and unlimited laser tag. Please contact Jason Yarema, at 804-228-0188 or email him at jasonyarema@gforcekarts.com. We can either refund your card or mail you a check for the difference. The unlimited laser tag option is an awesome deal for customers who are able to take full advantage of the 4 hour block in which we offer the unlimited deal. The 7-11pm window allows customers to play many games and enjoy the low cost of play. Your group arrived at 730pm and left at 9pm. We unfortunately cannot create a value in unlimited laser tag in that short amount of time on a busy Saturday. The other 10 unlimited players who played Saturday night played 7 times each. We apologize that within a short window of time we could not offer you the value of the unlimited laser tag. In the future if you are in town, please plan on attending for the full 4 hour block and we will certainly make it worth you while!

we went playing an open night racing from 7pm till 11pm on friday not much people was there we played first 3 races on the slow cars the reason was they have new people with us on the track then for the forth race they make us wait more than hour because we got the open racing and we know that there was not much people there but they need to delay us to closing time with the least races so we end playing 5 races which doesn't worth the money we paid, also customer service sucks no care for customers all what they care to get the money, about the karts each one has different speed not equal to each other also tires so bad the karts keep slipping even after 10 rounds and when we asked about the fast karts that we saw it by one of the stuff they said it's out of gas...... by the way this wasn't the first time there we thought they will be better but unfortunate it's not, doesn't worth money or time to go there

Traveling from New Kent to Gforce Richmond for what I was hoping for a fun afternoon with my son and his friend...get there to register..hoping we would all race together..told upon registering that I couldnt race with them..the whole point of making the trip was to do just that. So I asked for the Manager...he explains it was a too busy Sat...that I could race with them in about 2 hours(haha right) or race alone...I was ok with that,,not happy mind you as the reason we came was to race together. Did not see anything on the website indicating that policy...until during my son and his friends second race..only 3 racers were on the track. As I was watching there race..this same Manager strolled by and I mentioned..only 3 racers on the track...dont understand. He adamantly said to me "Cant do anything to please you" and walked off. Excellent customer service dont you think...will not return

Sir, We are disappointed to see your review, but felt it important to explain what happened here, since you felt it important to leave us a 1 star review. As the owner of the business I personally interacted with you. I spoke directly to you to explain how we run on Saturdays, which is a very busy day for us. We always strive to fit in racing as best we can. However,we often limit family races when we are this busy on a Saturday. The reason is that family races/heats take a longer time to seat and get out on the track. We have a large number of customers excited and waited to race, and thereby we are looking to maximize the customer experience. . On a slower day of the week, we would have gone far and beyond to make this work for you, as you can see from our other outstanding reviews. In this case, when you walked in we already had 8 heats previously scheduled. I explained I could run a family heat but it would be probably 1.5 hours wait to make that work, based on our demand. I also explained how we run the races during very busy times and that we do reserve this right, which we outline on our website. I can not apologize for prioritizing the other 50 paying customers who were in front of you. They paid first. Just to be sure we are on the same page, here is the FAQ quote on our website in which we outline our policy for running a family heat on our busiest day(s) and times: Q: Can I race with my child who will be in a Junior Kart? A: Yes. Tuesdays through Thursdays are Family Nights. If we are not busy we can try to fit you in on other days. Saturdays and Sundays are very difficult days to run family heats. So please understand if we cannot run them on those days. Our goal is safety. We can try to accommodate as many family heat requests as possible. But some busy days it is just not possible. After I checked back on your group a second time (when your son was racing to see how his experience was going), you were flippant and unhappy that I couldn’t put you in the race with them because it wasn’t full and there was room for you. Unfortunately, we cannot drop you into a heat with other children, given that their parents were not expecting another adult in the heat. In doing so, this would ruin their experience and upset the other parents. Overall we had over 500 people come out and have an amazing time on Saturday. While I do feel we tried to accommodate you, I also feel you were being unreasonable and had unrealistic expectations given the number of customers at our location this past weekend. Of course, you have the right to demand what you want and spend your money as you wish. At the same time, we have the right to run our business and make it work for the 500 other people, all of which enjoyed an amazing time Saturday. Respectfully, Jason Y, Owner G-Force Karts

Great time. Everyone enjoyed it. The kids had a blast. We ended competing against each other. They enjoyed it, I highly recommended it with the family. The outside is misleading but you will have fun.

This facility is poorly run by teenage employees. No instructions were given prior to the ride. The employees did not check the seat belts of the drivers to ensure they were properly secured. Be prepared to suffer severe injuries to your spinal column and carotid arteries. When the owner, Jason Yarema was advised of the problems inherent with his staff and equipment, he would not accept responsibility and attempted to assign blame to third parties.

I am posting this response directly on behalf of the owner, Jason Yarema.... We take not only the safety of our customers but also the operation of our facility very seriously. This review hurts us to read and we can tell you are frustrated but we stand firm in saying these accusations are wildly inaccurate. We accept responsibility for our actions and our track conditions if/when appropriate, but this is not one of those instances. We've researched this incident in question and are well versed on what transpired: On Saturday, February 27 your group came in and raced at 1:50pm in Heat #82. The race was a full race of 15 laps or more. For the person in question you referenced, her second to last lap was the fastest of the race, meaning she was racing well at the end of the race. Each racer in your group appeared to drive well for their first race in our facility. There were no red flags or stops in the race and everyone exited the race after what appeared on all front to be a fun racing experience. No injuries or complaints were reported to us at any time. There were no stops in this particular race for any crashes or issues, which we can tell from looking at your lap sheets and times. We keep records of each and every race on file at all times, in part to address any potential concerns or issues. When I (Jason Yarema, the owner) received the first call from this individual on Wednesday March 2nd, I tried to listen and reason with the individual calling, but had a hard time communicating. This individual shouted and made insulting accusations about G-Force Karts which I know personally are not accurate. I've owned this facility for many years and I take personal and professional pride in our reputation and our operations. I worked and was in the building working from 8am Saturday February 27th until 10pm that day. I worked all day and continuously checked on all of my staff. My track staff was headed up by a 24 year old. My Assistant Manager is 24 and worked the front counter that day, along with my main counter employee who is 27. My evening manager who is 28 came in to work that evening shift at 5pm. My point is that while we do employ young folks and teenagers (like many entertainment facilities who rotate between full time and part time employees), we train our staff well on how to properly and safely run our facility. To have someone say our facility is run and managed by teenagers is insulting and incredibly inaccurate. We take pride in working very hard to control and maintain our environment to provide a fun and safe entertainment experience. Each and every customer racing with us is required to wear a helmet, a neck brace and a harness. We sincerely hope the person in question makes a speedy recovery from whatever ailing they are dealing with, but we are confident their issues are a result of something else that happened long after your experience at G-Force Karts.

This place is fun for the children and the only thing keeping my sanity is the fact that they serve alcohol. This place is run by all kids that have no clue about customer service. We had to wait almost an hour in line to sign up for laser tag once we got up to the register the teenagers switched registers and thankfully we got a young man that knew how to run the register. All I can say is that the lines are long and if there was any type of adults helping run this place and not a bunch of kids it would be a much smoother process.

Frustrated beyond words!

Crystal, We are certainly disappointed to see your 2 star review, and to read about your perceptions as to how we operate G-Force. We take tremendous pride in our outstanding reputation for delivering an unrivaled experience to anything in Richmond (let alone the state), and take your concerns seriously. We apologize for your long wait. Saturdays (especially this time of year) can get very busy, which is a testament to the popularity of our karting, lasertag, etc. People love what we provide, which in turn sometimes mean they wait a bit longer than desired...such was the case here. We can only run so many people through our facility while still maintaining the same thrilling experiences. If we were to let more people play at a time (using the lasertag example), our arena would be more crowded, more chaotic and less fun. With regards to your input about kids running our operation, we employ some younger people (say under the age of 30), but that is part of the nature of this type of entertainment facility. We need younger, energetic employees to keep up with the fast pace of our entertainment facility. We rigorously train our staff on all aspects of proper customer communications and relations, and run constant quality control to make sure they deliver (and over deliver) on expectations. Again, we are disappointed you had a longer wait that expected and that the longer wait impacted your perception of the overall experience we provide at G-Force Karts. If your kids do enjoy the lasertag, karting, archery tag or indoor paintball, we might advise you check us out on a weeknight when demand is lower.
