This place has some really good reviews, so I was expecting something......better than I got. I walked in and thought the place looked straight up dumpy. One side had Native American stuff and the other side had cheap looking souvenirs and dollar store toys. We were in there no more than 3 minutes.

I just went here yesterday to try on some moccasins. There were two women gossiping behind the counter. I stood there for awhile, and finally had to say "excuse me, may we try these on?" The one lazy blonde girl rolled her eyes at me and was very, very rude. I don't know how they stay in business with such poor customer service. Almost everything in the store had a "made in china" sticker on it. The only part worth checking out is the museum. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

We came to the Indian Trading post to show my 13 year old and 7 year old daughters some of my native heritage. The store is mainly comprised on native american trinkets, jewelry and toys.I did notice the store had an odd smell to it.... Not sure if this was the stuff inside or the staff...... =) as we looked around I noticed that the gentelman in the back was staring at us while we walked around and looked at the items which was kind of uncomfortable. My girls decided on two mood rings at the front of the store where an older lady was working and helping us with prices.. She was nice enough. A younger woman came up and imediately yelled at my 7 year old as her back bumped into a mirror near the rings she was looking at. It was very clearly an accident and not because she was messing around by any means. My girlfriend and I looked at each other with a bit of shock as it seemed rather harsh and out of line. My oldest brought up both rings and the younger woman was there to ring her up. She was not friendly whatsoever and since I gave my card to my oldest daughter (as i was literally 7 feet away) she yells, "im gonna need an ID". so I set an ID on the counter and continued shopping when she yet again yelled across the counter "Your gonna need to sign for this" in a very rude tone. At this point we were rather fed up with her rude attitude and lack of consideration for the customers in the store. I walked up looked her in the face and told her she was extremely rude and to forget the sale. We left without buying the merchandise we wanted and went to "Souvineers from around the world" where they were nice enough to keep the store open until we were done shopping. Needless to say our excitement was really cut short about the indian trading post and I will NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN!.

A real Native American trading post. Beautiful, antique Native American dresses and moccasins. They have a big selection of beads if you like to make your own jewelry (I do). There's items for kids and adults. They also have t-shirts, toys and lovely turquoise/silver jewelry.
I really like the owners. They are laid back. The teenagers that were working that day were making us laugh so hard!
I remember coming here as a child and make sure to visit and buy a few things when I'm in town. Really cool!
It smells because it's 200 years old. It smells like history. Come in and see this unique, rare place.

This store has it all. It's a Native American museum that also sells Native American products. I could spend hours in this store. I have never been to store like this. This a gem. It's in the middle of the Dells, surrounded by all the tourist traps that make the Dells fun, yet this place is still here, unchanged from when I remember coming here as a child 40 years ago. I strongly recommend that you stop in and look around. The employees are very nice people. This is a must see in my book!

I went here when I was young. It's two stores and the stock wasn't full. The museum side was interesting but it's basically a store. I guess it would be great if u were really into native American artifacts

Everytime I visit the dells I have to stop here. I have been coming to Parsons since I was a little girl. Besides a reservation it is one of the only places left to buy authentic native American items.

Parsons is one of the original Dells stores. It has many native american items with explanations about the Dells. We bought very nice well made sweatshirts for only $25.each, sz xl and xxl. Highly recommend anyone visiting the Dells to check out this Orignal trading post of the Dells.

Parson's is amazing. They have many of the regular tourist items but they also have the history of the Dells and Native Americans. I would say it's 50% museum, 50% store and 100% must stop!

I remember going to Parson's as a kid! If you're into Native American history and culture, you'll love the "museum" half, which also has items for sale. Check out the selection of beads, if you're into Native American beading, or any type of jewelry making! The other half is a mix of Native American art/crafts and typical touristy items. EVERY kid NEEDS a rubber-topped drum! Boys will love the wooden cap guns and rifles. And if you're looking for moccasins or other leather goods, this is your place!

When you're there, take a picture of the family in front of the old cabin on one side of the trading post, and the cement teepee on the other, as well as with the carved Indian statues in front of the store!
