Surprised by High cost of a simple hair cut for men in the Mall. In the area for few days and went into Shop 37a Partners in Hair for men for a 20 minute hair cut which costed me R 235. I cut my hair regularly in George and I had never paid more than R150 for a cut, also in many other places. This was surely the most expensive 20 minutes in my life.

Bad security, armed robbery happened over the weekend where things got bad. Also for over 3 times the roof completely breaks. Going to Somerset West Mall really is a risk for your life.
They should up their game for security & the safety of all guest entering the mall.

I am a typical older male shopper and not given to loitering around large malls for the fun of it. Somerset Mall and its free parking, both open and under cover, is well divided into four areas (all under one roof)and if you know what is where, it is possible to save a lot of time by going straight to the correct section. It has a wide variety of stores and most of the major chains: there are a lot of other shops, to which you can easily drive, near the mall in an informal organization which can complete most of your shopping needs. It has ample food outlets and amenities. Walking can be extensive if your needs are scattered in different sections. I understand that choice for the ladies reflects the peri-urban nature of Somerset West, (neither a major centre nor rural). It is overall clean and bright but the electric carts remain an unseen mystery after many visits.

Dirty and broken down restrooms, nowhere to change my baby's nappy. Mall boiling hot, stuffy and smelly. Horrible layout which leads to masses of unnecessary walking. I will never come back.

A clean mall, not to big, but with a lot of shops, everything you need! A safe place for shopping and you car is always under supervision from the guards working in the parking area. Your one stop shopping centre

A very convenient and comprehensive number of shops in this rather huge mall. Good selection, brand name stores and value for money. The various restaurants and especially coffee shops are a pleasure to patronage. A one stop destination for all your shopping needs!

No airconditioning... No music in the walkways but the loud noise of people as there is no acoustic architecture used... Cheap outdated finishes such as the cheapest tiles and furniture in the gangways. When it is busy, the gangways became too narrow as the mall puts in the middle more and more (and bigger) (temperory) traders... When you speak the smaller shop owners, they start to complain about how they are really milked by the mall and some of them want to move... Since some time, some shops are not let... Hope a new mall will replace this one soon...
