I visited on a rainy afternoon with a Chinese friend who loved history and literature. The building was constructed on the site of the ancestral home of Wang Xizhi, one of ancient China's calligraphy and literary giants. He lived in the 300s, served a local librarian, mayor, and then regional military commander. Nothing of the house remains but the floors and stone support pillars are clearly several hundred years old. The building now houses replicas of Wang Xizhi's work and various biographical details of his life. My Chinese friend had a fabulous time but I only enjoyed it because he translated so much.

Away from the city but easy to get to with public transport. Quite modern yet traditionally active temple compound. Stunning temple designs and interiors! Take some time to walk up the mountain to enjoy some of the older pagodas and temples - take water and fruit! Stunning views from up top.
