About
The Zeni winery is located on the first hill beside the city center of Bardolino. From 1870 the Zeni Families have been dedicated in to the growing of the local vines and in to the production of the veronese classical wines. This wines are: Bardolino, Custoza, Lugana, Soave and Valpolicella, where inside the classical area the family has one more winery. From 1991 inside the winery in Bardolino is located the Wine Museum, a collection and proof of the local and ancient veronese wine tradition. The Wine Museum and adjacent Vinoteca are free entry for all individual visitors. For groups of 10 or more people the reservation is required. For both individual visitors and groups we required the reservation also for the visit of the entire winery. The Zeni winery is proud to present GO the olfactory gallery, a new eno-sensory tasting, which is the first of its kind in Italy.

- e-s03London, United Kingdom151 contributionsWorth the 15-20 walk from the lakeHusband and I walked here from Garda in the rain last week as we wanted to visit the museum before going elsewhere for wine tasting. The museum is really informative and we learnt a lot about different grapes of the area which informed our wine choices at dinner. At the end of the museum you can get a free ticket to sample up to 6 wines, then you have to pay a supplement for the more expensive tastings. In the end we didn't do any other wine tasting as we didn't have enough time. There were a lot of people buying cases in bulk so the strategy of the museum and tastings being free clearly works but given we only had hand baggage we couldn't buy any ourselves. There is also an unsupervised area for children where wine/food is not allowed so you can tag team with partner/friends if you come with kids but also want to do tasting.Visited May 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten May 26, 2023

It was great to visit again this year and we all greatly enjoyed it . The staff were very knowledgeable, patient and very helpful. The wines are absolutely fantastic and the surroundings superb. - Paul M5 contributionsA Must VisitIn three visits to Lake Garda, we have visited Zeni every time and every time we’ve left knowing we’ll definitely be back. The museum and shop are great, but to really experience what Zeni has to offer make sure to visit the cellars for a sensory tasting. The best wines experienced in a laid back, educational and lovely setting. A special thanks to Rado and Chiara for all their insight!Visited June 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten June 30, 2023
- JCBShipleyShipley, United Kingdom111 contributionsWine drinkers paradiseWe visited on a hot day in July and opted for the shuttle bus from Bardolino bus station - 2 stops, cost €1.30 - rather than walking. We phoned in advance to book the cellar tasting and were welcome warmly and treated royally by Rado and colleagues. In a wonderful setting surrounded by barrels, we tasted a range of rose and red winesx Bardolino, Valpolicella and Amarone rose and red wines, supplemented by a selection of cheese, ham and salami nibbles. A tasting menu can be agreed beforehand tilo match your preferences and budget. Rado and colleagues were extremely knowledgeable and ensured we had a good time. We didnt have time for the sensory tasting but afterwards viewed the museum and shop which offered free tasting. A great experience and thoroughly recommendedVisited July 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten July 15, 2023
- 19chelsea70Eastbourne, United Kingdom306 contributionsTasty experirenceWe walked from Bardolino town centre, which was a nice walk of about 40 mins. It was easy to find. A nice little museum giving you the history of the famliy and the making of the wine. There was also wine presses etc to view. At the end you ar given a ticket to use for 6 tastings of wine. It closes at 12:30, the shop has very good stocks and very reasonable prices. The staff were very friendly and helpful.Visited July 2023Written July 30, 2023
- MariaAttard, Malta114 contributionsBEST Wine Tasting event, highly recommendedFollowing an unexpected cancellation from our hotel I called a couple of wineries last minute to find a booking and Zeni (was familiar with the name) accepted our last minute booking 2 hours earlier. Today I thank my lucky stars that they cancelled on me as otherwise I wouldn't have experienced my best evening together with my father. What an excellent wine tasting event it was and Radovan our host from Slovakia was a pleasure, very well informed, friendly and a pleasure to be around. 10/10 a must visitVisited June 2023Written August 3, 2023
- richardemailStratford-upon-Avon, United Kingdom639 contributionsVery much worth a visitIt is a bit of a hike to the museum from the ferry as it is out of town and all uphill (better on the way back !). Probably best to go by car or taxi if possible. It is very much a small family museum showcasing their own winemaking equipment from the past and present, but no less interesting and informative for that. It is also attached to the winery and shop. Very much worth a visit and best of all the museum is free.Visited July 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten September 10, 2023

we had visited teh museum and winery a few years ago. This time we walked there with friends. The place has been expanded substantially
The museum itself is informative and interesting
The wine sampling, which we paid for, was fun but the pesron serving us was pretty aggressive trying to get us to buy the bottles even after we informed her we were flying back and couldn't carry the bottles
Other than that it was a nice trip

Although we fully meet the requirements to be equivalent of a 'super green pass', our QR codes can't be read by their scanner. At most places this hasn't been a problem as we have a copy of our international vaccine certificate and a letter published by the Italian government stating this is equivalent. This did not matter here as we were told that if the code would not scan then we could not taste, only walk around the museum.
The museum seemed okay, 1 room with some general info and a couple of old devices. The other people who could taste seemed to be having a good time but if you are not from the EU then don't bother coming here.

Elena

Hi,
No it isn’t! Probably a leisurely 30 minute walk from the port. Up hill on the way there so it’s quicker walking back! We have visited vineyards in various places around the world and we loved Zeni.

E' accessibile in carrozzina?
Da alcune foto ho visto che ci sono delle scale, ma non ho visto ascensori...
Gradini all'ingresso? 1 solo gradino non è un problema.

Thanks for the response, I'll add to my question.
You said you hold guided tours throughout the week, can we schedule them for individuals (instead of an organised group)?
How much does this tour cost and is it different from the one you have on Wednesdays.
Does the tour include a tasting?
And where do I schedule a tour with you?
Elena Z

Dear Haifa, i am so so sorry, i did not see your new question!! Considering the long time passed i hope you had an answer by writing to us...differently i am still at disposal and i apologise again!!
