Our child (5yo) participated in the painting exhibition where she was able to paint all over the room with the painting accessories of her choosing, and also saw the interactive exhibition on money where she also had a lot of fun, even though it’s recommended for children from 6 years up. The only issue with the place (and something you should know in advance - we didn’t) is that they don’t let people enter with shoes which, in itself, is a good thing but when it’s 12 degrees out, the floor inside gets really cold really quickly, so take slippers if you think you could have a problem with that!

The place is easy to find, and the museum is more like interactive workshop.
The place is divided into two sections: for younger children (3-8 yrs) and for children from 8 yrs. We visited when there were Circus and My family themes but fromMarch 1st. i think they will change the theme (please check on official page) We bought family tickets (14,50 €) for Circus, and spend 2 hours in there. When you enter the museum there is an area where you leave your shoes and jacket, and you enter museum in socks. Kids loved the great circus tent where you could dress in clothes and try circus skills like knife throwing (knives made from fleece),wheightlifting (made from styrofoam)etc. Through the museum there is also plenty of free DIY material where you could make entry tickets, crowns etc.
There is a refreshment area with coffee and soft drinks machine and a huge slide if you don't feel like doing stairs to the soft drinks machine.

it was all in german but it was no problem whatsoever - it was so cleverly built and arranged that you need not worry about language barrier.
we went there for 1,5 hours with kids 1, 5 and 8 years old and we all enjoyed it. I can' really describe the museum again, this is very modestly done at the museum web site. But when we had to leave, we regretted the fact that we did not have more time to spend there.
our 8 year old daughter enjoyed the outside area best of all, other kids I believe enjoyed it all in equal manner (there are three sections in the museum - smaller kids, older kids and outer area - we bought combi-tickets to all of them and we have been to all of them).

Took my nephew and niece one afternoon and they absolutely loved it. Please make sure to book ahead if you are visiting a special workshop for kids to avoid disappointment. It even says on their website that for certain exhibitions or workshops you need to book ahead. Keep in mind that this is not a typical museum. The exhibition we visited was about the human body and it made learning fun for the little ones.Don't forget this is not a common museum , this is a interactive kids museum. Plan to spend at least 2 hours there, although we spent 3. There is also a theater inside the museum, which hosts kids plays every afternoon from Thursday-Sunday.
Keep in mind that everything is in German.

I went there with my nieces and they were very happy about it. There were really many things to see and play around. The science experiment show was awesome. The kids kept paying attention to it.
They also have mini cycling plane that the kids could really fly and they could feel like they are captain!

A wonderful children's science museum. Many interactive activities. New exhibits each year. Wonderful staff and atmosphere. You can easily spend 2-3 hours there. Good for both small and older kids.

Great little museum for kids. One part is for kids 3-7 and this part would probably be more interesting with a tour guide, although the very small children have enough fun there themselves. The other part is for kids 8-13, although it is just as interesting for grownups. For this part knowing german or english is needed, fpr the other part it is not necessary.

Although small, nevertheless interesting enough for kids (especially boys) to play for many hours:) My kids (5yo and 2yo) enjoy themselves very much! Strong recommendations!

It is such a wonderful organised museum for children! The way the themes are presented allow children to experiment and find out for themselves. Part of it needs knowledge of the german language.
