The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.

If you visit on Tuesday after 1400 the entrance is free. The exhibition is all stuffed animal that are displayed beautiful in there natural settings. It's really nice to see so many different animals up close. Though there is no information on English. Don't expect a long visit, we saw everything after about 1 hour. Though it's a nice experience and great after seeing 1000 art museums and cathedrals.

They have some interesting lectures, but you need to speak/understand Italian. For popular lectures it is better to book in advance.

One of the oldest and largest planetariums of the world, it has fascinated me each time over the past 70 years. I was there with my grandchildren last year and it was even better than ever. To enjoy it fully, learn our beautiful language!

For both adults and children, Italy’s largest Planetarium is a very nice place to visit. It is very well-organized and the information and exhibition presented are very interesting. It’s pretty hard to explain and describe the feeling that one experience in-there, but I can assure that it makes the visitor escape from the quotidian themes and issues, and get into another world, that of the astronomy, of the stars, of the infinity. The children are also very fascinated not only to learn about the universe but also to having the possibility to see things. There are also conferences and different educational events organized for children. I highly recommend this place for anyone!

I wasn't willing to pay to get into the planetarium section of this building because I was trying to do Milan on the cheap - I'll admit upfront. But just the periodic table, with actual elements in little glass cubes, is worth seeing if you like science. I know that the Science Museum in London used to have something similar after WWII but because some of the elements are very harmful I suspect health and safety got involved. But Italy doesn't care and, in a way, that is great and I loved seeing these elements. There were some solar system models and observatory instruments too - nice - but the elements had my attention.
It is located in the Giardini Pubblici park (great in its own right for just walking). This park also has the Museo Civico di Storia Naturale. The Planetario is closest to Venezia metro station.

Grazie
