- Miranda en BarcelonaBarcelona, Spain44 contributionsGreat choice for kids and spaceship loversThis activity was in my bucket list for a while and now that my little one is 5 I thought it was a good idea to go. We spent 6 hours there and could have been more but it was really hot. My recommendation would be to start outside early in the day and go inside when it gets hotter. There's a lot to see, many replicas and spaceships to see inside. One caveat is that although it's part of the European Space Agency, most of the material and live presentations are in French (except the written posters). Would not hurt to have some slots in English and even Spanish, as it's closer to Barcelona than Paris. Considering that you'll probably spend many hours here, if travelling with little ones it's fine to bring your own food. Another advice that I wish I had before going was that there is a half-price entrance on the days that it's open until 11pm. Note that it's impossible to be there the whole day (probably not that much to see). So if you want to be able to be there in the night in the Summer it's not so easy because sun sets at 10pm. But you can get half-price after 7pm. Unfortunately you have to buy it there (not available online) and I didn't know how crowded it would be. So, if you want to go during the day, buy a ticket for a day that has normal opening hours, because the day when it closes later is more expensive. Also, the site is translated into English and Spanish, but when you get to the shopping cart, it's just in French.Pay attention to the price list on the previous page.Visited July 2023Written July 30, 2023
- Silvia ASao Paulo, SP190 contributionsFly me to the moonThis place is amazing! It is large, with activities indoor and outdoor. There one can know about the Nasa´s projects to the Moon and to other planets, and learn about the European collaboration to these projects. Usually we read that Nasa did them all, and this is not true. There are a host of activities directed to children and adults, everything interesting. Outdoors, you can see the planets, a MIR shuttle, and a Planetarium with an Imax cine.Visited July 2023Traveled with familyWritten August 5, 2023
- Philip CYork, Maine598 contributionsHomage to French AviationAs air & space museums go, this spot, while well done, would not be on the top of my list. It is a great documentation of French Aviators with the birth of Airbus in Toulose but lacking in size, scale, diversity, and impact. It's a bit of a challenge to reach as well. I'm glad we did not sacrifice other attractions (the Stemberg was closed) but would likely not include this on a tourist itinerary.Visited August 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten August 11, 2023

- CoachK71Western Australia, Australia392 contributionsIf you like space, the space industry or aeronautics, this is for you!I am a space and aeronautical fan so tried to squeeze this visit in before my train early in the afternoon. Despite my best efforts, my 3 and a half hour window did not do it justice but I still enjoyed it immensely. There is a lot of information to take in at all exhibitions and good English as well as French translation and options. For the time I had I got to see enough to make the trip worthwhile but easy half to full day here depending on the detail you want to see. Great education centre for children too with a lot of interactive activities. Just one thing to check is whether shows are in French or English. I went to the Mars rover show and it was good but not understanding the commentary did dilute the experience a bit. It is a well organised area and easy to get around. I am very happy I visited.Visited September 2023Traveled soloWritten October 30, 2023

We enjoyed a day here with two little ones (5 & 3). There is lots to see, do and learn. We spent 5 hours here and still didn’t see the entire exhibition! Lots of interactive bits to engage the children.
Only challenge we had were the food options. We had taken and enjoyed our own picnic but the children were still starving (of course). There were only 2 restaurants open, both with huge queues. Once we were sat down the food did arrive quickly. They have a set menu for children (€10) and main meal options for adults (€16 approx).
We took the metro followed by bus which took us directly outside. Under 4s are free.
Enjoy!

If you are interested in space and want to learn basic interesting facts about space missions, satellites and explorers - this is the place to go.
Cite de l'espace is a large complex full of different activities.
The only disadvantage is that a lot of the activities are available only in French!
However, the planetarium and the movie about the Voyager missions are available in English and other languages and definitely worth watching! I think they were the best part of Cite de l'espace!
I also liked the Mir station exhibition, the section about satellites and the section related to launchers.
Make sure to dedicate enough time for all the activities and exhibitions, we spent more than 5 hours here! And check the opening hours in their website before planning your visit, because sometimes (but not always) they don't work on Monday.

Nice destination for a day visit. I went with my family (20-agers). We were unlucky with the weather (can of course happen early November) and hence, we could not fully enjoy the scenery. It offers a nice variety of activities, in-and outdoors, obviously aeronautics related. My only disappointment was the catering. Selling a little bag of salted chips with a fishburger and calling it fish and chips is a bit misleading. Else, absolutely worth a visit!

We decided to go to the Cite de l'espace before returning to Barcelona in our 3 day stay at Tolouse, and because was so cold outside that we though it could be the best.
Price is very very high for what you visit. 80€ for a family of 4 is quite expensive.
There is a IMAX, a planetarium, a stellarium, and some exhibitions. There is also some replicas of spaceships, but not much.
If you go with kids, its ok, but for adults and teenagers, is not much.
It has free parking, one shop, some restaurants, and a picnic area.

This center is actually a space museum. It offers a good mix of indoor and outdoor activities. Young children can enjoy some interactive some activities dedicated to them. This is really a must-have when coming to Toulouse.

Great day out, very informative, majority of exhibitions and displays are in French, English and Spanish. Two of the presentations were available in English via a headset for recorded commentary. Food and drink on-site reasonable for a tourist attraction.
