came down from Aberdeen to Visit Krafty brew last Saturday with two friends to brew two beers was a good experience from start to finish selecting which beers to brew selecting the malts adding them to brew and of course in between this having a beer or two, whole day out and the host was good at what he does just a pity there was quite a few doing it so he was a bit spread out but still a great day and 300 bottles of beer await this would be a big hit in Aberdeen as there is nothing like this .

My band played at Krafty Brew - I hadn't heard about it before then & it's been open about 5 months. Excellent range of beers & cider brewed on the premises. Really cool space and staff along with great music made for an excellent night.
My only issue is that soon everyone will know about this place and it wont be a nice little secret anymore.

I really enjoyed my visit to Krafty Brew. Michael took the time to explain how beer is brewed and took on board my taste preferences for us to come up with a recipe that I would enjoy.

In between the different brewing processes we were free to play darts and watch the footie while sampling some of the standard Krafty Brew recipes. (We were lucky enough to be able to try their delicious christmas brew but Seven Seas and Karma Citra are cracking year rounders.)

Once our brew was finished it was left in the breweries capable hands to mature and then bottle up. We made a dark beer so after only 12 days I got a phone call to let me know the beers were ready to collect.

End result - plenty of yummy, chocolately brew to last for a good few months. Really pleased with whole experience! :)

Please read all the way through with this review.
I received a Groupon gift certificate for my birthday to get a guided tour of this brewery, the picture in Groupon showed a large warehouse with dark barrels stacked up, exactly what you would expect at a brewery.
We arrived and had to double check the location several times before going in as the directions led us to a small industrial unit? We were a little early, and waited in the seats next to the roller door, at this point I was quite disappointed given I could see the entire brewery from where I was sitting. After a short wait we got a complimentary lager before the tour, there was a dartboard and pool table to keep entertained.

The tour kicked of with a very interesting and comical guide giving us a brilliant and entertaining guide to making beer. At every section we were given tasters of the drinks we were discussing from lager, dark beers, flavoured beers to ciders. Bottle after bottle was opened and offered round to pour into our glasses.
After the tour we were asked which beverage was our favourite and given a bottle from the bar.

We had an absolutely brilliant afternoon, it was a great laugh, the guide was superb and very knowledgable, I would recommend this to anyone who likes beer, a very original and a great value for money gift, a real hidden gem.

Similar experience to the previous reviewer. We booked a Groupon tour here, and emailed to arrange. Received no response, tried phoning repeatedly still no answer. Finally received an email back citing server issues and were offered a variety of dates and advised even though some were after expiry date of our voucher it would be fine. We booked in advance and sent our voucher as requested. Then just a few days ago we received an email telling us that our Groupon had expired and they were unable to honour it, despite previously having said it would be fine. We quoted the original email giving us the option of doing this and received a rather abrupt email back. Our further contact has been ignored. It's a shame as this looked a really good place to visit, and staying next door to it we had planned to potentially visit again with other friends. With such poor customer service (verging on fraud with them going back on their word and keeping our money) we will not be going here ever.

Had trouble booking a brewery tour that had been bought as a gift, tried to e-mail and was told they had been having problems with the server but given another e-mail to try so i also tried calling but got no answer so when I did use the other e-mail I got told it was too late (even though first reply had said I'd be able to book later than finishing date of coupon) really disappointed with the customer service given and abrupt shun in last e-mail, will be passing this onto the majority of friends who like me really enjoy their real ales and advising them to avoid at all costs, especially those who organise beer festivals and enquire to myself about any ideas for new/up and coming/little known brewers that may be good for festival drinks.

Brewery Tour could sound a little misleading as it's a very small affair but definitely worth the trip.

A great couple of hours doing something different... 8 samples of original beer and cider, a wander round the facility and a laugh from the brilliant host Mike.

Not all about the facts and figures more about having a good Saturday afternoon trying out new beer but you definitely left knowing things you didn't before.

Would recommend going if you get the chance and a deal... honestly though, I wouldn't have paid the full (£45) price. Stick to vouchers and you'll feel like you've had your moneys worth.

Its every guys idea of a perfect day out.. Spend the afternoon making your own beer using a range of ingredients and supervised by the companies Chief Brewer, then spend the fermentation time sampling the huge range of beers the brewery creates and produces whilst enjoying the variety of games and sports on hand, before enjoying the very beer you produced as you watch live music in the early evening (recent artistes include: Ben from Gomez, Michelle from The Magic Numbers).

On top of all that, you get to take home copious amounts of your very own beer... All included in the cost of the gift voucher

The perfect Christmas (or anytime) gift. Enjoy....
