Kendal has lots of fine buildings, many tucked away and easily missed. This is one such example. A lovely chapel, hidden behind the shops in one of the town centre's main streets. Well worth a look.

So simple and charming with the look of much caring from the members of the congregation. The magnolia tree in the grounds is magnificent in springtime and worth a look at. Hidden through an archway it is a surprise for those seeking a moment of quiet.

A wonderful old building. Restricted opening, so check times or you will be faced with a locked old metal gate at the entrance. ( Bottom lower end of Kendal Market Place, tucked away behind the main square, roughly where the cobbles start).

Good reasonably priced basic tea room. Superb location in the centre of town down a yard of the Market Place

Regardless of religion or none if you get the chance to visit this hidden gem do so. Architecturally beautiful, welcoming and with a genuinely friendly and open guides available at times this building is a haven amidst the haste. Well worth seeking out.

Beautiful hidden gem in kendal. Lovely service. Lots of kendal history in the church. I liked the banners made in the past by parishioners

Beautiful building with a hidden garden. Excellent mural in the entrance archway. The Schoolroom, built in 1882, was originally a Ragged Trouser School.

We sort of stumbled upon this place and found it really interesting and peaceful. A lovely old piece of history!
