We didn't actually take a paid tour, we just walked the streets of Cabo San Lucas. It was a Sunday morning and not all of the shops were open, but the streets were so clean and attractive. I felt very safe walking through the town. There are exquite homes up on the hills over looking the beautiful sea.

Cabo is a tender port. It only takes a few minutes by boat to get right into center of the town with the marina, restaurants and shops. There are people offering boat and taxi tours at the pier. We took a glass bottom boat to the arch. The prices are negotiable and it cost us $ 36 for 4 for about 1 hour. To get to the boats you have to pay some kind of tax of $ 1 per person. That tour is interesting as you get a good picture of the beaches and the spectacular rock formations. We also enjoyed the sea lions, pelicans and fish. Don’t take the cruise ships excursion because it is really easy to get around on your own.

We wanted to see the shoreline and the Arch. It cost us $10. 00 for over an hour trip around the beach coast up to the Pacific side of the Arch. The boat was super clean and neat. We had to put on life vests before departing. Another couple was planning on staying at Lover's Beach so the boat went close to the beach where others assisted them into the water for a short walk onto the beach. They were supplied with bags to keep personal things dry and were handed them after they got off the boat. We saw the seals and pelicans and were given ample time for some lovely shots of the coast line as well as the arch. Fusion all Water Activites did a super job and I highly recommend them- great servicde and very friendly-they take great pride in thier boats and the cleanliness. Lazardo Andrade gave us his card and said that they do all kinds of water activities which I will check out the next time I am there.

We booked a snorkeling trip on board our cruise ship with a company called Tropical Tours. The plan was to snorkel while in Cabo San Lucas.Every thing looked OK at first boat was nice crew also were good. After we traveled a short distance to the location we were giving mask and fins. But when we entered the water we were shocked by the freezing waters.Must have been 55 0r 60 degrees much to cold to swim with out wet suits. We asked for them but none are provided. So of the 35 or so people on board only 5 or 6 could swim in the freezing water seems to me to this is a rip off.
The crew knew that the water was to cold to swim but of course said nothing before we left.
I tried to get a refund from Tropical Tours but they said we should have check the water ourselfs.
I then checked around town and found that most of the local providers included wet suits at no extra cost.
Not only this but the tours were half the price as the cruise ship tours.
From now on I plan to book my tours on line with the local business not a middle man Tour Company like Tropical Tours.

while on a cruise out of South America to Lax we ported in Cabo San Lucas. After doing research on tours in Cabo I came upon a whale watching tour as well as a "Drinking" tour!!we chose www.cabosanlucastours.net Went on the Jungle Cruise and had a ball!! Continually putting a drink in your hand as well as seeing dozens of whales. Everyone had a great time while in port with enough time to shop.. The price was 39.00 apiece and well worth the trip.. Plenty of time to get back on the ship as well..

My family and I visited Cabo San Lucas in April of 2011. My daughter used the ATM machine at the Marina. When she got home she discovered fraudulent charges on her debit card at a bar in Cabo. The only way someone could have gotten her number was from the ATM machine at the marina as this was the one and only time she used it. There was a young man sitting nearby with a computer so I don't know if this was how it was done or through some other way with the machine itsself. Take my advice and exchange money in a bank or on the cruise ship but beware of this ATM machine. Luckily she was refunded her money!!

We paid $10 dlls to go on a boat tour. They take you to the rock formations, to the sea lion sanctuary and they finally drop you off in "La playa del amor" (lovers beach). We had to decide if we wanted to stay 1 or 2 hrs in the beach; we decided to stay 1 hr and we felt it was enough. The beach is really pretty and clean. A great view of the Sea of Cortez and great for taking memorable pictures with the whole family.
Once you arrive there, if you want an umbrella for the sun, it's gonna cost around $10-$20 dlls, haggling is acceptable!

We stayed at the Riu Santa Fe and we only went to the beach once. The sand is rather coarse - not like the soft powder of the Riveria Maya. I was playing with my little son on the beach and a wave caught us by surprise, tossing us around a bit. There are other parts of this area that are swimable, but not in this location. So double check where you are staying specifically because some beaches are fine while others are quite dangerous in this aera

It was very good. You go on a pirate ship, where they take you around the shores, to see the sea lions, and the beaches. You can also see from the ship the various new places they are building and the other hotels along the beach. the food and drinks were great too. The pirate show was funny and the staff were awesome
