If you are in the Gros Islet or Rodney Bay area you must attend Mass here! What a welcoming, song-filled, Catholic community......especially for Sunday Vigil Mass.

My husband & I had the privilege of attending mass here while on the island celebrating our 10th anniversary. The church is beautiful and airy. The congregation welcomed us with open arms. The mass was longer than what we are used to than in the states but it didn't seem like it because of the angelic singing of the choir. The sound of it brought tears to my eyes.
Awesome experience!

Nice local community church with beautiful fresh flowers and some colorful windows in the middle of Gros Islet.

We went to the 6pm Saturday mass and the ushers and parishioners were very pleasant and welcoming. As a bonus, we sat in a pew by the doors and the breeze was truly amazing.
Confession is listed on the website and in the parish bulletin as 5:15-5:45 pm on Saturdays, but this is no longer the case. Please don't do like we did and just show up - call the parish office to schedule a time for confession. We got there at 5:10pm and were informed that there was no confession on Saturday evenings and that the priest wasn't even there yet. When he did arrive at 5:30 we asked if it would be possible to get confession before mass and he told us that he was busy and to schedule an appointment for during the week.

We attended Mass on Saturday evening and Thursday for The Ascension of Jesus. The Pastor Michele Francis made us feel right at home. The Masses were beautiful. Saturday evening Mass was almost 2 hours, because the entire Mass was sung. Well worth the visit for Mass. The altar and the painted scenes on either side of the altar are stunning. Petra, from the Landings, where we stayed, called to confirm the Mass schedule, They have a Saturday evening Mass at 7pm and Sunday morning Mass at 8am and 10am.

After reading previous reviews, we arrived 20 minutes before mass and told our taxi driver to pick us up 90 minutes after the start of mass. After 115 minutes, communion had just started. We ended up leaving after communion in order to catch our ride back to the airport.

If the church is crowded, It will be very hot. Our family was sweating and our 5 year old was miserable. Parishioners are friendly and helpful.

The art and architecture is beautiful. Mass itself is lovely and the choir soundly heavenly. Unfortunately, on one trip I wished to use the bathroom and was prevented by a security guard. This was especially awful because it was a Sunday and all businesses were closed. Otherwise other parishoners were friendly and made me feel welcome.

We went to 10:00 Sunday Mass at St. Joseph's. Be prepared for a 90 minute Mass and a 35 minute homily which was difficult to understand because of the acoustics in the old church. The choir is excellent.

We went for a family vacation on St Lucia last Christmas and found this beautiful church. It is located about 20 minutes from Rodney Bay. And yes, the church is also located a few blocks away from where St Lucian have their famous Friday fish fry party.

We went to a Sunday service at this church and enjoyed very much their choir and the homily. But what really we really enjoyed is their spectacular Christmas mass. They have put together a great play of the humble birth of Christ. All dressed in fine clothes similar to those days, they all sang so beautifully and transformed us back to that Blessed night. It was spectacular!

If you ever on St Lucia fir Christmas, do attend their service. It is a beautiful church and the community is welcoming, warm, and friendly. It felt like home to us.
