To our dismay this farm was sold and the wine shop closed, no longer can you get their fine selection of wine.

6 of us are driving The Ontario Table Cookbook which lead us to Smith & Wilson. We all enjoyed a wine tasting then sat outside to enjoy a couple of bottles of wine and a delicious cheese & charcuterie board (you must order ahead of time). George and Mary Jane are such gracious hosts and we are so glad that we took the time to sit out on the patio and enjoy the beautiful views. Don't rush through your visit, your time spent here is well worth it.

We like S&W very much and always stop when we are in the area. They have an excellent viognier and several blends that are unique. Worth the trip to CK!

I had been to Smith and Wilson for a family wedding 3 years ago, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery, banquet hall and of course the wine, but I had never done a tasting. A friend had a birthday a week ago, and with us both being home winemakers, I thought it would be a fun place to take her, to taste, and buy some of the wines. My husband and I drive to the Harrow/Colchester areas for tastings, but I wanted to go somewhere closer. Smith and Wilson was wonderful!!! Their tasting room has a wonderful distant view of the lake, and has a classic, yet country feel to it. The young man that did the tasting for us, was wonderful!! He explained alot about each wine, and of course we were eager to hear as much as we could - we make wine from fresh fruit and grapes - not just the "bottling" making wine. The wines are really good. I love their cherry wine. I had called ahead to ask if we could buy some wine to have while we were their, and if I could bring a cake in for my friend's birthday, and they were fine with that. They set up a table for us in their banquet room, which also has a great lake view. They were quite busy with people tasting and buying - we bought 4 bottles. Well worth the drive to Cedar Springs!!!

Excellent wine!!! Was there for a wedding and although the venue is gorgeous and wine was great, food left much to be desired. The wine alone though is amazing!

Group of us visited on a Thursday and we were treated to a great tasting with lots of explanations about the wines and the labels which was more fun than one might expect. Their wines are well prices and they off a great selction in the $8 (special) to $18 range in both whites (esp the sauvignon blanc) and reds. Tasting is by donation only - no fee.

Smith & Wilson Winery is a small, intimate winery with fantastic selection and excellent customer service. My husband and I were on our way out to Erieau Beach and stopped to pick up two bottles of wine. We enjoyed a War of 1812 commemorative wine and also a Raspberry fruit wine. The wine tasting fee was only $2 for 4 samples and the proceeds were going to charity.
Worth the drive!
